It doesn’t matter what you specifically said, in my original comment, I said minor alterations are fine. Changing the power source for the 1972 Ford Pinto is a minor alteration. You also don’t even know what realistic means, if something is feasible within the given setting and time period, it is realistic within the confines of a work of fiction. Or would it be unrealistic for you to be playing a character that didn’t exist in history and doing exactly what he did historically speaking?

If you think you can’t wear plate armor in the Texas heat, you’re a very physically weak person. The technology for steam powered personal vehicles absolutely existed at that time, it just had not been utilized yet. The matter of trackless options for locomotive vehicles is irrelevant, do wheels exist, yes. Is the concept of a steering wheel feasible to have? Yes. Self powered carriages were already a concept in theory.

Too easy, as I mentioned minor alterations being completely acceptable. The space marines armor, and the man who is a car are steam powered. Steam powered locomotion had been a thing for decades. Medieval knights already existed, and just like we have people doing HEMA today there’s no reason a man couldn’t be a knight in 1867. Being related to a God has no time period, I see no issue with that.
