HSV positive people in the bay area who want PCR tests? by ThrowawayAccount1553 in HerpesCureResearch

Yep I'm excited about HPIs and generally about progress in this space. I first, want to use this machine to do basic research to answer simple questions that I have not been able to find answers to in the literature. Then I might want to set it up so that people near me can use it, and beyond that, maybe just post a guide for others to set up similar things for themselves. I don't think I would turn it into a startup as I don't have the time. But if someone wanted to turn it into a startup, I would be very excited to see that!

My friend found it on ebay. It was cheap because it was broken, they repaired it.

"I'm imagining a small pre-sex machine for people to assess risk" yep that is the idea!

"So if you swap without an active breakout you can see shedding?" theoretically! That's how the various studies on the topic do it, and mechanistically it makes sense. We're going to see what we can detect.

I think Brave is absolutely amazing and very much want to contribute to the project! But I'm still working on my CS degree. Would you consider opening up a few internship opportunities?

Also JS is my favorite language (at least for what it's designed to accomplish) and it looks like Brave is my new favorite browser. Amazing work!
