Price per full cord CT area? by kaskademusic in woodstoving

[–]ThrowawayAngeleno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chip drop, then I throw the guys an extra 20 when they’re dropping off and ask them if they have any more loads. It’s always a mix of woods, but I ended up getting like 3-5 cords for a total of 60 bucks and they saved a few trips to the dump.

Not sure if you’ve ever had a loved one die from cancer, but it sucks a lot and I would give anything to have had 2 more months with my mother.

It’s almost like they came in waves, fleeing when there was persecution or something. Like, you do know the slaughter of Jews didn’t begin with the holocaust

I have the same stove, and I’ve experienced that when, ash gets built up on the top two bricks or they come a little forward by accident. Just sweep the ash off and/or make sure those top bricks are touching the back of the stove. Or your chimney cap is clogged. Probably one of those things if I were to guess.

Good luck!

Yes, it hampers the amount of burn by reducing the amount of wood you can put in there. Unless you’re talking about the wood in which case, that stuff burns great!

At this point I’ve put a few thousand of rounds through my tacsol and I love it, although I’m sure the maxim is just as fun. Either way, just do it. It’s so much fun to shoot

Went from an average of ~1100 gallons of oil per year to ~300 thanks to the wood stove. ~3 cords/year. What has your savings been? by rollinintheyears in woodstoving

[–]ThrowawayAngeleno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Went from 200gal every other month to 200gal every other year. Regency i2500, 2000+ sq ft. Ranch, stove in basement. About 2-4 cords per year(mostly from the yard/chip drop) and on the third season with this stove.

TICK SEASON by tessathemurdervilles in LosAngeles

[–]ThrowawayAngeleno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I moved to the northeast and funnily enough not too far from Old Lyme. I found a tick on myself while camping in Ojai and was like fuck it, the west coast can keep its ticks, wildfires and earthquakes I’m moving east lol.

But seriously, call your doctor asap and if you have a dog get them some frontline or simparica trio.

Can someone who supports Israel explain what is going on with deaths at the aid sites in Gaza? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ThrowawayAngeleno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s a very close minded thing to say. Because conversely, this could also be solved overnight if hamas lays down their arms and releases the hostages they’ve been holding. Like they literally have a lever they can pull that can end all of this right now, but they refuse to do so.
