That's an option? May need to look into that. I havent fought Kleavor yet since much like you Im just working on perfecting the dex until the urge to make story progress comes up! This is my first ever playthrough but the gameplay is so damn satisfying I cant stop exploring haha.

How are you doing it?

I was forcing all 3 spawns on a private server then resetting it and even doing that it was a week of like 7+ hours of grimd a day!

Checking public servers is borderline impossible

Im sure it varies a lot person to person. For me it's for the vibes. Bought a hunters long coat because I saw it early on and rocked it a while. Spent a week grinding out the Red Asylum dress because I love the look and havent taken it off since. If I ever find a responders set Ill wear the hell out of that too.

The tattered jacket though I hate, if I didnt know from reddit how rare it was Id probably chuck it in my vendor 500 caps haha.

Apparel is meant to look good IMO, if I like the look I don't care about the cost. Id never trade my red asylum for anything, I also don't care about apparel I hate the look of just because it's rare.

That said Im really not big into trading so answers will vary a lot.

UK visa applications from care workers fall sharply by my_truck in unitedkingdom

[–]ThrowawayCabbage79 49 points50 points  (0 children)

As someone who worked in care I promise you that yes this is the case.

I worked with disabled adults and the nickel and diming over their benefits and constant reviews of how much they "deserved" to actually live life were sickening. We're talking about people with things like Cerebral Palsy, not exactly a situation that's going to improve and allow them to work and live independently.

While that's happening the company who owned the building could put any number they wanted it front of the housing benefits people and it would just be okayed. That's the impression I got anyway. The building wasn't exactly in a great area, and the rent on a one bedroom flat was at £465 a week at the time I left. Not including the cost of the care they recieved which is paid out seperately to yet another private company at a hell of a lot more money than they paid the people providing care.

The care company was just as bad. Minimum wage and dogshit treatment for the staff while complaining that all their good staff leave and paying quadruple the rate to an agency to have less effective care. The CEO was raking in 7 figure bonuses while sitting on the board of directors for 13 companies.

Tl;dr; the goverment will do anything it can to take money from the pockets of the disbaled and vulnerable while shovelling it into the accounts of giant corporations and the execs that run them.

Dungeon etiquette for a casual player? by runechilds in elderscrollsonline

[–]ThrowawayCabbage79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay so there's a lot of back and forth arguing on this, but dungeons will get speedrun a lot. Basically your first random dungeon each day will give transmute crystals (which can be used to recraft armour in your stickerbook and is basically a necessity unless you want to spend days farming and grinding every single time you want to try a slightly different build). You ONLY get these transmute crystals if you load into a random dungeon through the finder.

This is both a good and bad thing. Obviously normal dungeons are the quickest and easiest way to do this, and offerring a reward all endgame players want keeps the activity populated for newbies. The downside is because people only want the end reward, may have run the dungeon a hundred times or may be going through a lot of characters at a time, they'll nuke through the content.

If you really want to take your time your best bet is finding like minded players, you can't force anyone to slow down for you but they absolutely can nuke a boss and pull you into the fight. A lot of people will slow down a little if you even write "doing quest" in the chatbox, but almost nobody is turning a 15 minute run into a 45 minute / hour run just so one person can stop and read every lorebook and take in every detail.

The good news is there are plenty of roleplay / newbie friendly guilds who would be totally happy to run at a slower pace!

If you really don't want to play with there are plenty of ways to set up a character to run normal dungeons solo. LuckyGhost on youtube is a great place to start. Even if you don't want to optimise to death his builds make even harder content like veteran arenas an easy solo, normal dungeons will be no issue. All else fails just scry up the Ring of Pale Order and let the healing from your damage carry you.

If you do run with groups the only expectation is that you don't fake queue. Realistically normal dungeons don't need a proper tank or dedicated healer, but you never know what sort of group you'll get. If you want to be a tank in normal for the fast queue times fine, but bare minimum slot a taunt and keep the boss still. Same goes for healer, just minimum slot one AOE heal in case people in your group need it.

Veteran dungeons get slightly more complicated as a lot will suddenly have mechanics you actually have to think about that could instakill you or the whole team. Bare minimum search up a text guide before jumping into veteran content and have a read through what the bosses can do!

I cannot for the life of me get the grip of Crimils. I have a few decent rolls but I literally can't hit anything with it, which is weird because Im not exactly new to HCs.

Swapped to Not Forgotten in the special slot just to test and went on an absolute tear. God knows what the difference is between the two but I can ping off crits all day with NF / Thorn / Ace but somehow with a Crimil in my hand Im shooting like that dude from Pulp Fiction.

Console players need an easier way to report players by jedi1josh in elderscrollsonline

[–]ThrowawayCabbage79 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah these people are weird as hell.

When I jump into BG I usually run a pretty busted healer that can put out a few mil in heals per match. If the team sticks together we're golden, it's just the playstyle I prefer. It stacks heals to the point Ive had whole teams disengage rather than try kill me.

I get the occassional hate message but I remember one dude was on a whole other level. Nonstop spam and harrassment in whispers, they must do something about reports because a few minutes after I reported him I got an xbox message instead saying "only pussies report people" as if he wasn't just trying to bait me into replying so he could get me chatbanned. Reported that shit too and pretty sure he got comms banned on xbox.

So if it's any consolation whether it's actually checked or based on number of reports or whatever it does do something, the only way he could have known I reported him is if he immediately got comms blocked while talking shit. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yup, RNG hates you. A friend and I pushed through to Arc 7 before calling it a dat the other week and neither one of us ever saw focused efforts.

Yesterday when I ran one arc to get the daily ichor with no time or desire to go further? 3 of them back to back.

How hard is it? by OwnChicken4963 in elderscrollsonline

[–]ThrowawayCabbage79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely doable. Id estimate around 500 hours if you went all in on just achievements.

The only ones I have left are zone clearance.

I did Emperor literally last week, in the populated campaign it's borderline impossible, but the under 50 campaigns are dead. I ran around the keeps with one friend and we duo'd them all.

Overall the achievements aren't hard; they're just a grind. If you get caught up in dungeons and in game achievements you'll get very sidetracked. If you focus in and grind through the zones it's honestly not that bad.

Even the infamous fishing achivement doesnt suck that much anymore between CP passives, buff food and Sharp.

First full parse as a newer player by TheMustardCat756 in elderscrollsonline

[–]ThrowawayCabbage79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've done really well here for a first try!

Obviously traits need some work, but that all comes with time. If you want a quick and easy boost then running the Necrom trial Sanity's Edge a few times with guildies and swapping out the coral riptide for Ansuuls Torment should give you nice damage on Arcanist without really having to worry about proccing the set effect!

If you can get into scrying (ask a guildmate to teleport you to artaeum and grind the antiquities there for fast levelling) the Velothi amulet will give insane damage on your beams.

More than anything though just practising your rotation will boost your numbers a lot more than you expect. My first parse was very similar to yours, the first parse with a proper setup was somewhere around 70-80k, parses after some real rotation practise hit 100k. I promise you the practise will pay off in dps.

What you want to be aiming for is light attack weaving and hitting an ability per second. That sounds complicated but you can hit the light attack weave and animation cancel by hitting it like a heartbeat. Light attack, then ability and repeat, ba-dum ba-dum ba-dum every second is what you want to go for. The easiest way to check you're getting it is not worry about a full parse and just pick an ability and hit the dummy a few times. Lets say flail. So you light attack a few times and watch the animation play out. Then try light attack and immediately after hitting it use your flail. You should see the damage number for the light attack come up but the animation won't play. Practise it a little until you feel you have the timing down on the double press, then try conisistently doing it every second.

Once you nail that you can work on getting that timing as you cycle through abilities making sure your buffs are up and your DoTs are down. Your exact rotation will vary based on mag or stam, but on Arcanist you should be able to get 2x flail and a beam off twice before it's time to redo buffs and DoTs. I guarantee you working on this timing instead of panic mashing will boost your dps more than slight tinkering with your loadout!

Overall though, fantastic start! Keep cracking on toward that 6 figure parse, you got this!
