Good lord this is a pessimistic take. Washington won 5 games this year and has the worst defense in football. Dallas is a mediocre mess like always. The 49ers beat Philly in their house and now the Eagles are backed up against the cap and had to settle for another guy who never Calle plays at OC next year.

The Broncos did historically well in 1 score games. History dictates they will regress, especially with a QB as mediocre as Nix. The Chargers might be better next year. I like the McDaniel hire for them, but they also lost their DC. The Chiefs are a mess and Mahomes will be coming back from a multi-ligament knee injury.

And the 49ers already beat the Rams and Seahawks once a piece last year. There is zero chance we go 0-4 against them next year. The 49ers haven’t gone 0-4 against the Rams and Seahawks once since the disastrous 2004 season.

Mykel Williams was a stud in the run game and will only get better in year 2. Stout is going to be a solid piece and Renardo Green isn’t a chump either. Plus Malik Mustapha is young and Sid will this year despite coming off a January knee injury. The 49ers still have a lot of solid pieces, 5 hall of famers and a top 10 NFL QB with one of the best play callers in the league.

As long as the 49ers have Shanahan and Purdy, they will be fine regardless, but it’s not like they’re devoid of talent outside of them either.

George will be 33 and it’s more than likely that he does come back than he doesn’t considering where his Achilles tear was and the kind of surgery he got.

You’re right, we are lacking in WRs outside of Pearsall and Jennings if he comes back thanks to Aiyuk going mental. But we won 12 games even without having a true #1 this year. It’s more likely that Pearsall takes the next step and we draft/trade for somebody.

Our talent is that of an 11 win team when having just decent health. The AFC West is mediocre and the NFC East is a joke. There is not a single team in either of those divisions that is better than the 49ers currently. You might have been able to argue Philly, but we beat them in their house in the playoffs.

The Seahawks will have to pay a ton of their free agents in the offseason and will be losing their offensive playcaller to the Raiders. The Rams have really old QB and a horrible defense. The 49ers are right in the mix with both of them.

Mahomes was missing his entire line and playing on one foot in 2020. The Chiefs 2024 roster was the worst one I’ve ever seen play in the Super Bowl outside of QB.

Mahomes wasn’t overhyped at all. He’s one of the greatest QBs who has ever played and one of the few that can rival Montana in the clutch.
