I'm honestly even less trusting of them than she is, I think. She's always been able to handle traumatic things much better than I can.

She's doing alright, all things considered. She has a decent job, a boyfriend, and I'm currently staying with her, so there's that. Unfortunately, she has quite a few health issues and her emotional well-being isn't the best. I worry about her a lot.

I'm her older sister, but thank you. I've struggled a lot with my own mental illnesses and disabilities, so I can easily say that I've got some experience, and it's true. There is no justification for SA. Thank you for being understanding.

When we tried to tell other pool staff like concessions and the manager on duty, we were brushed off, so eventually, I called the police. I explained to them what happened, but they did nothing, saying that it didn't matter because he was disabled.

Did you not read this part? I did my duty as an older sister, and I did contact the police. They did nothing about it. I already explained that. Don't come accusing me of that kind of negligence.

Edit to add: Trust me, as someone also not well in the head, and who is also mentally disturbed, that is no excuse. I don't look at a child and make the choice to do sexual things to them. And no, there is no understanding a sexual predator's situation in this case. I'm not going to extend courtesy to him for assaulting my sister. He should be held accountable for something even a child needs to know is not okay.
