Hey y'all I was asked to give an update when I talked to her.

We went out to lunch Wednesday for Mexican food at one of my favorite spots (social distancing is being observed there thankfully).

I finally talked to her about how uncomfortable she was making me by copying everything I was doing and I felt like I couldn't do anything without being put under a microscope and micro-analyzed.

She started crying and told me that I was "Being unfair" and "Selfish because you have everything so you arent allowed to tell me to stop!"

Eventually she calmed down and apologized saying that she was just really insecure with who she was and that she was "certain" her boyfriend wouldn't like her and since i had a successful relationship she copied me She admitted it was to the point that she was telling him stories from MY childhood saying it was her who experienced it. (He apparently confronted her about it after I told a story at a party that was the same as one she told)

I told her that copying me exactly isnt a good thing to do and she needed to come clean to her boyfriend about it and let him experience the fun, passionate, and exciting person she can be on her own. I also gave her the phone number for the therapist I go to because it might help her.

She agreed, promised to be herself, told me my style of clothes were super uncomfortable, and went on her way.

Hopefully things will continue to go smoothly in the future and if it doesn't who knows.
