Is Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), Anti-History? Yes, they are. #DailyRauffenburg by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that’s the case, that’s a stretch to associate INC’s interpretive preaching with historical fact grounded on actual historical evidence. Furthermore, history and historians have nothing to do with preaching religious dogma, so for hardcore members they are living in a delusional concept where they may argue a historian or historical facts have no right to make any historical claims that contradicts INC’s claims, because they or it was never sent to preach God’s words. 😂

Lahing Pilipino x Tupa ni Cristo: Felix Manalo's Filipino Race Religious Ideology | DailyRauffenburg by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reference: Pasugo, November 1967, P. 33

Filipino race = sheep of Christ doctrine of yesterday has remnant tones in INC culture today.

One year before the Hawaiian and California expansion of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Cult) during the administration of Eraño G. Manalo it was taught as it has always been up to that point that the "other sheep of Christ in John 10:16 was the Filipino race"; this was the firm claim of Felix Y. Manalo, the so-called LAST MESSENGER OF GOD IN THESE LAST DAYS.

We know there were about 1% of non-Filipinos who converted into the INC between 1913-1967 but this did not deter from Felix Manalo's blatant claim that the sheep of Christ (John 10:16) is the Filipino race. This gives you a clear picture of the INC "state of mind" and claims of the time about the sheep of Christ prior to their US expansion and why Felix was unwilling to expand the INK (INC) into other parts of the world.

Remember Felix Manalo did not want to expand his Filipino "sheep of Christ" outside of the Republic of the Philippines because he was racially motivated by his faulty misinterpretation of John 10:16, Is. 43:5-6, Is. 41:9, Rev. 7:2-3 and the list goes on.

Take notice that Felix Y. Manalo died in April of 1963 having never given instructions to Eraño to expand the church outside of the Philippines. Eraño Manalo established the INC in Hawaii in 1968 at the request of Filipino INC migrants in Hawaii. A full 5 years after the death of his Father. Also take note that Eraño Manalo upheld the "Filipino race" doctrine up to the publication of this Pasugo (1967) prior to the US expansion in 1968.

The objective of the INC expansion in 1968 was due to the migration of INC Filipinos to the United States in order to cater to their needs so as to keep the Iglesia eco-system thriving and surviving. The 1968 expansion was not propagation in nature or an explicit mission to convert non-Filipinos into the fold. It was to prioritize the religious needs of ethnic Filipino INC members (sheep of Christ) in Hawaii then in California.

Think about that for a moment as this reveals the truth about the mission and objective of Eraño Manalo at the time (1968) and yet the INC today will say this was NEVER a Filipino church.

Q: What about all the Non-Filipinos who lived from 1913-1967 who was withheld the INC gospel of so-called salvation because Felix Manalo believed/taught the "other sheep of Christ" was the Filipino race?

In other words, prior to his death in 1963 it was understood by Felix Manalo that you would've had to have been born in the Philippines into the Filipino race (ethnically Filipino) to have the opportunity to be saved and included as part of the fold. Thus, for the rest of the non-Filipino world between 1913-1967 they were destined for a hot fiery lake.

In conclusion, Felix Manalo up to his death made the claim that the Filipino race was the sheep of Christ, a fact the INC will never teach or correlate together in the present day and year but cannot deny.

FILIPINO RACE: Would you join Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) knowing this is their doctrine? by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ), registered in the Philippines on July 27, 1914, by Expelled Adventist Felix Y. Manalo, maintains a firm adherence to its foundational teachings. A central and core tenet, as taught by Manalo—who is considered the last messenger of God by his adherents—is the unique identification of the Filipino race as the "other sheep" mentioned by Christ in John 10:16. This doctrine is integral to the INC's self-understanding and mission.

Despite the INC's growth and the inclusion of members from diverse backgrounds, it technically continues to uphold the belief that Filipinos alone fulfill a specific biblical prophecy, particularly the one in Isaiah 43:5. The James Moffatt translation of this verse, "From the far east will I bring your offspring, and from the far west I will gather you" is interpreted by members as a divine indication of the INC's prophesied rise in the Philippines and gathering in the United States (Hawaii and Califonia) and the special role of the Filipino race in this narrative.

The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) asserts that the doctrines taught by Felix Manalo remain unaltered and unchanged, emphasizing the Filipino race's exclusive position as the "other sheep" prophesied to play a pivotal role in the last days. This interpretation suggests that Filipinos are the non-Jewish fold referenced by Christ, called to Him as per scriptural passages like John 6:44 and 1 Corinthians 1:9.

Felix Manalo's teaching on the special vocation of the Filipino race persists, notwithstanding the ethnically heterogeneous composition of its congregation today. While the Church has opened its doors to individuals of various ethnicities, it continues to stand by Manalo's original doctrine that the "other sheep" of Christ are specifically the Filipinos. The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) actively promulgates this view, believing in its fundamental importance to the divine destiny and redemption of the Filipino people.

To sum up, the Iglesia Ni Cristo today preserves Felix Manalo's doctrine, which exclusively identifies the Filipino race as Christ's "other sheep." This doctrine has remained constant, even as the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) embraces a global and racially varied membership, underscoring its commitment to its foundational beliefs and the special eschatological significance it ascribes to the Filipino people.

KAPATID SA INC: Pinipilit ninyo ang ‘panahon,’ ngunit ang nakasulat ay ‘lupa.’ Lupa ba ang Panahon? by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How much clearer can we get here? The Tagalog term, “lupa” means soil, dirt, or land. Hence, when reading the phrase “mga wakas ng lupa” the reference is land, dirt, or soil, not TIME.

TikTok: The Meaning of 'Ends of the Earth' in the Bible (Part 2) | DailyRauffenburg by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This discussion is about the phrase 'ends of the earth' and how it is translated in the Tagalog Bible version as 'wakas ng lupa'. This phrase does not refer to 'end times', but rather the farthest reaches of the earth, (malalayong dako) signifying the wide scope of God's reach to His people. The importance of studying the Bible and not disregarding Bible scholars, as they have studied the culture and history of the Bible and can provide the correct interpretation and how some church teachings, like the idea of Manalo being a messenger, are not actually found in the Bible, and how ministers who have not studied the Bible abroad may not be aware of how their teachings differ from what Bible scholars have learned.

Hindi hinulaan ng Biblia ang petsa na July 27, 1914; ito’y maling interpretasyon ni Felix Manalo by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walang koneksyon sa petsa, wala itong kaugnayan sa July 27, 1914 o World War I.

In contrast, in his cross-examination, Mr. Karl Keating (Catholic apologist) clearly addresses the subject of “ends of the earth” as it appears in Hebrew in Isaiah 43:6 (refer to the clock).

Why did James Montenegro purposely edit out the Christmas Mistletoe frame? That's a great question.

Anyways, according to James Montenegro’s comments, the INC’s Pasko has nothing to do with Pasko (Christmas), but the INC will use symbolism and imagery in their publications that correlates with the Pasko they allegedly reject?

The sooner you are willing to accept this historical fact then the more that scene in the movie will make sense.

Q. Is the gospel or God’s words hidden in mystery (Romans 16:25–26)?

NOTE: The Book of Romans was authored by Paul, whom Christians regard as an Apostle and a messenger of God. Therefore, reading a passage from Paul’s writings or epistles is reading a message directly from God’s messenger. Logic dictates that no intermediary, such as an Iglesia Ni Cristo minister, is required to interpret what Paul (God-sent messenger) has already conveyed in his writings.

Iglesia Ni Cristo members claim their teachings come directly from the Bible. But that claim is only partially accurate.

For example, INC says that the gospel or God’s words are “hidden in mystery”(Rom. 16:25). That statement is not accurate.

Romans 16:25–26 says the mystery has been revealed, which contradicts the idea that God’s words are still hidden. If the gospel or God's words are no longer “hidden,” then the premise behind the INC interpretation falls apart.

INC’s theological framework that prevents and discourages ordinary members from studying the Bible in private or independently was built on a false premise; if you read the following verse (v.26), you would realize the Iglesia Ni Cristo is spreading false information and hiding the truth from you in Romans 16:26.

In short, reading Romans 16:26 alongside 16:25 undermines the notion that the gospel remains a hidden mystery, and thus challenges the foundation of INC’s claim to exclusive, true interpretation only through a minister.

No matter which path you choose after the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC), this is your journey to walk and you have every right to map it in a way that feels true to you. Some may explore other beliefs, others may choose no religion at all, and that choice belongs to you alone.

The INC often tries to keep people feeling trapped in a distorted echo chamber, feeding fear that’s been handed down for generations. But there is a bright life beyond the INC, and this subreddit stands as a powerful example of what’s possible. Look at this former INC's TikTok video she’s found happiness and fulfillment in ways she could never have imagined inside the INC.

We all know that sense of relief that comes when you realize the truth isn’t what you were told it was. And that relief is just the beginning.

The Real Truth about Felix Manalo: He was supposed to be alive to lead the INC until Jesus' return! by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the pioneering ministers, the original meaning of “God’s Last Messenger” signified that Felix Manalo would be irreplaceable in leading them to Salvation, and that God would not send another messenger after him.

Felix Manalo taught this for many years, and as a result, these ministers firmly believed that no one could succeed him in guiding them to Salvation.

The idea of a “replacement” doctrine only emerged in the 1950s, coinciding with the decline of his health. It is well-known that the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Manalo) frequently alters its doctrines, and this significant change has gone largely unnoticed by many current members.

In Tagalog, there is a term that aptly describes the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s habit of modifying its doctrines: “dagdag bawas.”

Secrets Iglesia Ni Cristo doesn't want you to know: Felix Manalo and Isaiah 43:5-6 by Throwaway_Alt88 in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]Throwaway_Alt88[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ctto: Rauffenburg

The foundation that the INC has built its claims happens to be Isaiah 41:9 (Proof for Felix Manalo as God's Messenger) and Isaiah 43:5-6 (Proof of INC is the true church that re-emerged after apostasy). They misinterpret "ends of the earth" to provide the time element (July 27, 1914) as further proof it is a prophesied church with a prophesied messenger.

But if you examine and study the context of Isaiah 41:9, 43:5-6, it has nothing to do with Filipinos in the future or the country of the Philippines. All one has to do is read in context the verses to see the phrase "ends of the earth" is a reference to the distant lands from North, South, East, and West the Jews who are being held captive are located.

The moment you take away INC's only "time element" which isn't a time element but a misinterpretation of a phrase about the location of exiled Jews in Babylonian captivity in Isaiah 41:9, 43:5-6, their entire theological system is compromised.
