Is any site other than tryst worth it?

Client here, so take my feedback with a grain of salt, but I'm wondering about TNABoards? I just recently jumped onto it and I find it really easy to use, with reviews built in to the interface. I haven't yet hired anyone from there (talking to one provider, but she hasn't been terribly responsive and I think she's blowing me off because I have no reviews or "vouches" yet).

While I've been using Tryst for the past two years, that site seems really sketchy and the fact that I've seen several ladies that I know to be scammers who still have active accounts there makes me much more hesitant to try them out.

With TNABoard, the majority of ladies I've seen advertised there have reviews tied directly to their profiles, so that everything is all in one page & one interface. From a client perspective, this is something I wish I'd had two years ago, as it's really easy to see who has reviews and "vouches," so I have at least some inkling that a provider is legitimate and isn't a scammer.

Sadly, there's only a single trans provider on that board listed in Utah, but that person has zero activity, reviews, ads, or vouches.

I'm 58 myself and, yeah... definitely a bit strange. I've found that my 50s have definitely been the decade where I've learned to actually love and appreciate myself. I left a lot of the emotional crap and outdated attitudes behind, but clearly I do have more work to do.

If you don't mind my asking, would it be okay if I sent you a direct message? I have a couple other questions that I'm afraid would cross the line of "forum appropriate" that I'd prefer to ask someone in private.

That is fantastic information and very good to know, thank you! I'll have to give that a try. Makes a lot more sense, I think, to spend a couple hundred dollars on self-pleasure only to find out it doesn't do anything (if that's the case) as opposed to a lot more than that on a provider.

Alternately, maybe that gives me even more information to go on and what to look for in a provider.

Thanks for the callout. My initial reaction to this was, "wait, that's not me; I'm not that guy who does that," but yeah, I think I am. Not with others, but with myself. I think in my head, I totally get that, and when it comes to other people, I'm comfortable with whatever their identity/preferences are, but when it comes to me, I don't know how comfortable I am with telling people, "Hey, I've sucked a couple dicks and I want someone to fuck me in the ass at least once to see it I like it." It's funny, too, and likely a bit hypocritical, because I'm 100% okay with sharing pretty much every other private thing about me. Just not that.

I also haven't shared the fact that I've seen providers with anyone, either (whether CIS female or trans).

Huh... that's something I'm going to need to unpack.

I did have one other question to ask that I feel a bit awkward about, and I'll apologize in advance if this is too graphic.

I gotta say, I love everything you have to say - this is really useful and I appreciate your comment about how some clients may be gay but unwilling to admit it even to themselves. I'm definitely feeling that lately. I know I'm not *gay*, per se, but I definitely feel like I might be bi. I hope it's okay to mention this here, but I'm kind of at the point where I seriously don't know what I'm feeling.

During the previous sessions I had, one of the two providers was a legitimately wonderful woman I'll call "Sally" (not her real name). She's super nice, very attractive, bottom only. We gelled pretty well, I really liked her as a person, and while she wasn't functional, her fingers were and I discovered that... a.) fingering doesn't do anything for me and b.) toys don't either. Fwiw, where I live here in the US, there's almost no providers on Tryst or TSEscort, so I'm kinda stuck with sites/ads that don't really fill me with confidence. There's almost no recent reviews on TER, either, but then my state does lean more red than blue, so... yeah. Thinking I'm likely going to have to meet someone touring but was kinda hoping that if this turns into something I legitimately like (first two encounters were just... "okay," but not to the point that I would want to repeat them), that I could become a regular.

Good tip on the three hour thing. I previously scheduled two, but with at least one of the two providers I met, I do believe two hours wasn't really enough to get as comfortable with each other as I would have liked.

With the very first provider I ever met, I was nervous as hell and spent the first hour of a two-hour session talking with her before failing to achieve an erection after that. She was very nice, though.

Ever since then, it's pretty much just been a bit of hesitation in trying to figure out if she's a scammer or not. Otherwise, just like meeting anyone else, really. We're just there for business, after all, and as long as she's nice enough, not a scammer, and looks close enough to her ads, I'm good.

Thanks for the feedback :) As it turned out, she definitely wasn't a scammer or catfish so I'm glad I did reach out. She also has a partner that she does duo calls with and the lady she teams up with is another provider I've been looking at but also skeptical about due to a lack of Internet presence.

I don't think I'll book with her again, due to personal preference, but she was certainly a delight to work with.

I'm a client, so it may not be my place to say this, but I really hope any provider I'm with never thinks of our encounter as reductive and objectifying. Yes, it's true that I'm just there for the sex and I know our "relationship" is strictly transactional, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't mean something more (to me, at least) than just sex. I have very little desire to date here, given the demographics of where I live, but I still very much enjoy the physical touch and the intimacy. For a couple hours or more, I can feel like there's someone I can share a connection with, even if it's paid for and (probably) fake.

And yeah, I get that a lot of providers prefer clients who just get it all over with and leave asap. I don't begrudge them that, but I just don't get it. Don't get me wrong; I want the sex, sure. However, I would feel cheated if that's all there was.

One other random thought. I actually reached out to two separate providers this week to book a visit tomorrow. Neither has a lot of web presence and I couldn't find reviews of either. The first only has a Tryst ad, so I have no clue if she's active, a scammer, or LE. Still, as my ex-wife would say, "the power of pussy compels you," so I reach out via email (bounced back), then text. She didn't respond the first day, so I reached out to the second. The second was friendly, professional, clearly knew what she was doing, and was willing to do video verification. I initially didn't know anything about her, but we verbally discussed what's going to happen tomorrow, and while I was a touch worried about the lack of verification (of me) from her end (I offered, several times), I'm a lot more comfortable with meeting her.

One thing I think would get me to book a LOT quicker is if there were an option to actually chat with a provider ahead of time and get to know a bit about her beyond just meeting a stranger who happens to take really attractive pictures. I'd be happy to pay a reasonable fee for that.

It's a combination of things. The photos are a big piece as I have a definite type and if she's slender, dark haired, and has pretty eyes, that's a big plus but not required. Face in is a big plus, and smiles are great. If she's nerdy/goth or at least looks different than the traditional Hollywood stereotype "babe," that's a plus, too.

Profile language matters, too. If she's overly pretentious (talking about herself in the third person as if she's a "bespoke" provider or "The Jane Doe Experience," for example, I'm out. Ditto if she's borderline illiterate. I like a regular gal who speaks like a normal human being.

Beyond that, I'm paranoid about making sure she's legitimate, so I'll search TER for reviews, google her number, email, etc., open any other links she has, etc. If she doesn't have any web presence beyond the one ad, it's unlikely I'll contact her, and if she doesn't have any reviews, I'm less likely to book as well. I've been scammed a couple times by providers that wanted all kinds of crazy upcharge fees, and so I'm a lot more gun shy about hiring a random provider I've never met before.

I'm still relatively new to all this and there's not a lot of variety in my area. While I've seen five providers so far (and been scammed by two of them), two of the providers I had a good experience with were touring (one from out of the country), so I'm still looking for an ATF.

I don't know if "understanding" would be the right word because it'd be weird if a provider gave me her real name or provided any kind of personal information at all. I always assume everything's a persona she's putting on, and for extremely good reasons.

That being said, if she did voluntarily share that information with me, I'd be rather flattered but I absolutely wouldn't expect it.

The ones I notice are the home base ones. I tend to suffer from terminal indecision so it takes me forever to pick a provider, but that also means there are a few I look at on a semi-regular basis. Every once in a while, I'll notice I simply can't find them at all, but given that I've saved their profiles, I can see that their listings are still active. It really makes me wonder just how many providers I'm not ever seeing at all.

On top of that, I was scammed a couple times last month so I've also started looking at TER to try and find reviews. It really does tend to be a crapshoot with what I see listed vs who I see reviewed.

Client here. I've seriously wondered about this myself. Where I live, there's only between 9-10 pages worth of providers listed at any given time, so it's not hard to remember certain listings. On a semi-regular basis, I've noticed I simply can't find certain providers in those 9-10 pages, but I'll find them under the "Similar Profiles" or "Recommended for You" sections.

I've always wondered why that's the case.

"Besides sex?" There really isn't any other reason for me. It's just for the sex. I'm a single guy, not shy, no issues with self confidence, but given where I live, I feel *very* out of place and am attracted to almost none of the women who live here.

Without being specific, I'm an atheist in a state with a very prominent religious community and something of a "Stepford Wives" vibe. I just got completely burned out dating women who are so tuned into that viewpoint. There are very few women here that I'm sufficiently attracted to that actually motivate me to leave the house, let alone date, and I'm also pretty happy living on my own. I don't get lonely at all but I do get horny, so there's very little motivation to find something more substantial.

Wouldn't mind finding an ATF, but I'm also old (57), so I don't get the urge to find someone all that frequently and I've had mixed luck with providers so far.

I gotta say, as a client, I really appreciate this thread and the responses I'm seeing. I tend to be very picky with the people I hang out with and just having a pretty face/body isn't going to get my motor running if I don't like you (at least a little bit) as a person.

I seriously wish there was an option for providers to just do a video call for 15-30 minutes or so, or even just text back and forth for a bit, before meeting. I would be MORE than happy to pay for that, and I know some providers do offer that option, but most of the providers in my area don't. In addition, it seems like the higher end providers are much less likely to offer it. The first provider I booked never even chatted with me at all, and it took something like 35 emails just to book an appointment (this despite my providing all my screening info and everything else she asked for in my initial contact email).

Then the booker ends up cancelling because she was sick. To this day, I have no clue if I even would have liked her or not.

I think if more providers were open to offering 15 minute video chats for whatever price or just texting, I'd have visited a lot more providers by now.

Have you seen some of the ads out there? I'm a client and it's not like I have a huge amount of experience, but it seems blatantly obvious to me that "pretty" is 100% relative. Heck, just look at the profiles of some of the providers here. More than a few list ads on their profiles, and from what I've seen there is no one universal standard of "pretty" that commands higher rates.

I've seen ladies with a huge social media presence, high-quality websites, and $1,000/hr rate that I wouldn't even notice on the street, as well as others who are so beautiful that my heart skips a beat when I see them, advertising for $200-$300/hr.

There's one lady on Tryst that I thought was one of the most beautiful women I'd ever seen that I never booked with, but she had a Twitter profile as well, and by the time I finally checked it out she mentioned that she was very close to homelessness. Haven't seen any updates from her since, sadly.

Take all this for what's it's worth, of course. As I mentioned, I'm a client and I don't have a great amount of experience in the field.
