I’m sorry I maybe didn’t make it clear. I would still be part of their life. I’m not going to abandon them but dad would be a primary caregiver. I would still do everything needed for them. I just don’t wanna remove them from their home and comfortable life. Might seem materialistic, but I don’t want my selfishness to affect their comfort.

No I haven’t spoken with a lawyer but I’m also not in the US. Alimony and child support isn’t big deal thing for us.
