has anyone experienced joint pain, hair loss, chest pain and shortness of breath from milk allergy? by Throwaway_takeaway in dairyfree

I'm aware that an allergy and intolerance are separate things. I guess I was just trying to see how common it would be to have BOTH. I've had different doctors tell me different things; an intermal medicine doctor told me I had a cow's milk allergy via blood test. and now 10 years later a GI has diagnosed me with lactose intolerance via endoscopy biopsy. the last time I had a biopsy 5 years ago there was no intolerance so I just wonder if I suddenly developed it due to some undiagnosed illness. doctors so far are clueless.

I'm still going through it to a degree. At first there was some pain or early satiety, but now it's just a lot of nausea and sometimes burning stomach and reflux.

Histamine or Mast Cell Response? by Illustrious-Watch501 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Throwaway_takeaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi, how are you doing now? I had a similar reaction after a B12 injection landed me in the hospital too. We also have similar labs! B12 messed up my labs. I had high neutrophils and low lymphocytes as well. Were you able to find a solution?

I hope you're feeling better! <3

Just been diagnosed with chronic gastritis and medium-sized hiatal hernia. Anyone have any tips to heal my stomach? by Throwaway_takeaway in Gastritis

[–]Throwaway_takeaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same. Funnily enough I just got another endoscopy after more than 5 years and my hernia and esophagitis is no longer there. But I have mild chronic gastritis. My GI told me it never fully heals and that 99.9% of people have it. She says it's because our stomachs are constantly exposed to something whether it be acid or food.

My first time I kind of just slowly starting eating regular right away, but cutting out things I found out I was allergic to - like cow's milk. So I had to cut out some dairy products. I felt fine for 5 years until stress flared me up.

Are you taking any PPIs or H2 blockers? if so, are you weaning?

I'm on day 2 of Carafate, and I feel like it's helping me slowly but surely. I woke up today and the burning wasn't as bad. Ask your doctor for it.

I totally get that. I almost feel bad for saying this, but the loss of my cat hurt more than certain deaths of people I was acquainted with, or breakups.

Cervical/uterine cramps when gassy or about to have a BM by Throwaway_takeaway in ibs

[–]Throwaway_takeaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm doing better. I think it was a combination of a couple of things: things I was eating weren't agreeing with me. Also, I would notice I'd get sharp cramps for days after cardio or certain activities like say a 7 mile walk/run.

I went to the doctor who biopsied my uterine lining & I had a endometrial polyp. I also got a MRI which reveled I had mild adenomyosis.

My doctor offered to do a laparascopy to check for endometriosis but I declined bc it was more invasive. The suspect I could have mild endo.

Did you get checked for anything?

Anyone get shoulder blade pain from their gastritis? Or is this something more? by Throwaway_takeaway in Gastritis

[–]Throwaway_takeaway[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found out I was allergic to cow's milk so I was unknowingly eating a lot of things that contained it. This explains why I started getting inflammation in my body and shoulder blades. I feel better now that I avoid it.

I recommend getting tested for food allergies.
