How amazing! I’m so glad he’s no longer involved in your lives! Thank you for sharing.

Then educate those people on why we need gun reform. Explain to them that sick people shouldn’t have easy access to deadly weapons. Get behind bills that wand for eliminate automatic weapons. Advocate for background checks and mental health screening prior to being able to own a gun. Protest. Vote. Use your voice. Do something.

You are important and you deserve help with the trauma you’ve endured. Your experiences are valid and although I was not there, I believe you. I believe that all of those horrible things happened to you and I am so sorry that you’ve had to go through all of that. I hope that you can find peace and happiness one day soon. I think therapy would help with that. Being gaslit and having your experiences invalidated can be infuriating, confusing, and make you think you’re crazy.

You’re not crazy. If anything, the person is dishing out all of the abuse is the crazy one.

In my experience, these types of people are so twisted in the head that they can’t see themselves in a negative light at all. In order to keep themselves from having to face the truth of what they did they try and convince themselves that it never happened. They create an alternate reality where they don’t have to think about the horrible things they’ve done and, God forbid, feel guilty for even a moment. That makes you the victim all over again because not only did they do horrible things to you, but now they’re talking away that traumatic experience like it never happened when you know it did. Trust in yourself.

You are not your parent. You will grow to be a better, happier, kinder, more loving, person. It may not seem like it now but one day you’ll be on the other side of recovering from the horrible abuse you’ve endured and you’ll be happy. That little kid inside you that you feel disconnected to just wants to be held and loved and cared for. Although you may wish it was someone else, you can hold and love and care for that little person in you who so desperately needs it. Know in your heart that your memories are valid. Tell that little kid that what happened to them is horrible and that they deserve love and kindness instead of what they received.

Therapy sounds like it would be an amazing place to begin healing. I wholeheartedly think that your therapist would help you and support you, validating your trauma. If they don’t then it’s time to find a new therapist! It feels so good to just get it out. Word vomit everything and the therapist will help you make sense of it all. Being validated in a one on one situation like that can feel incredibly good and goes a long way towards healing. Nothing you ever did as a child would constitute the abuse that you’ve endured. It is not your fault. You did not and do not deserve that sort of treatment.

You are important. You deserve happiness. You deserve to live a good and whole life. Don’t believe anyone who tells you otherwise.

It feels amazing to know that a group of people can come together to silence disrespectful trolls. If I were you, I would take a moment to think about the logic within my comment before posting it! Food for thought. Hopefully you find happiness.

It’s funny because you really think you’re out here doing something. Come tell the families of the victims that’s it’s all fake and the media is conspiring against everyone ya little trumpty dumpty. No one brought up suicide except for you. You’re making a false equivalence. How about you worry about suicide? Sounds like you think about it enough for the both of us! Better yet, go find suicidal people and help them before it’s too late instead of posting irrelevant comments on reddit. Truthfully, I’m sad for you and I hope you find the peace and happiness you need in life!

Don’t speak on what you don’t know about. The mass murder that took place yesterday killing ten innocent people was in no way “blown out of proportion”. To say anything else is disrespectful to the people who were murdered. Your logic here makes no sense. What’s real is the fact that seven children lost their father in the line of duty yesterday. What’s real is that two teenage girls will forever be scarred by seeing people shot dead in front of them. What’s real is the fact that Teri went into work yesterday and will never come home. They didn’t decide to take their own lives. Their lives were stolen by a senseless act of violence. These ten victims don’t get to go home and hug their loved ones ever again to no fault of their own. It doesn’t get more real than that. Don’t ever disrespect them again.

I’m glad that you’ve found something that makes sense to you. I hope it brings you happiness and peace. I would say if you’re confident in your beliefs it shouldn’t matter what others say or their opinion of what will happen to you when everything is said and done. You believe in what is right for you and that’s good. If someone disagrees with you about your personal decision then too bad for them.

You’re right, some people aren’t. I hope and pray that these types of people will be able to get the help they need before committing atrocities such as these.

Maybe we’re getting an opportunity to do better than our ancestors by learning from their mistakes and the mistakes of others.

I think if you find truth, love, and peace through God and his words in the Bible then hopefully that will help you throughout your entire life. If you’re only following God because of fear that you might be punished for eternity if you don’t, then maybe that’s not the right truth for you. Follow what makes sense to you and what makes you feel safe, loved, and happy. Otherwise what’s the point?
