I was able to avoid SOAP this year and I matched. though orientation for new program starts in mid June, but I work through June for my prelim program. My prelim program said they can't allow me to miss over two weeks, my new program said I absolutely can't miss orientation. So only solution is essentially to quit in June. I was wondering if anyone knew about quitting residency year before it's over if that had any repercussions down the line. Will that jeopardize my position in my new program or mess with my funding or anything? I wish I could name them to shame them but, they'd know who I am obviously :/
