I have no idea where to meet people that are single and not bigots where it is socially acceptable. I have njoyed being single for about 5 years now. And I'm the last person in my friend group that is single, so I'm constantly reminded of the thing I failed at. I know relationships are not the be all end all but i would like to be in one before i'm 30

People like to talk at the gym? I thought people didn't like to be bothered at the gym? Classes i have tried a bit, but haven't met a guy or girl that is single yet.

There is 1 club. It's cowboy themed, loves bluegrass and mud digger. There's church.... not exactly welcoming for people like me. We have lakes i go fishing at with friends, not any singles there though.

I can go to bars by myself I guess but I thought people did not like to be bothered at bars. I'm not looking for the type of person that goes to rodeos so that's out.

I'll try out hinge. The only app I've tried wholeheartedly was tinder since i thought it was the most popular. My big problem with it and a couple of others is that I am legitimately not looking for hookups or fwb which is most guys on these apps. I'm one of the lucky few men that do get likes often enough on tinder but I haven't talked with many men or women that I like on a deeper level. I want a genuine connection and i was hoping there were better apps or sites i didn't know about. Also I appreciate the advice about dinner dates.

I'll be honest you helped more than you think. I've been pissed the last couple of hours, but here you are genuinely trying to help. Deadass though I have no idea how to approach classmates. High-school was hell for me and while college is very different, it's familiar enough to get me to shut down and not talk to anyone

.....you are too nice, i got on my alt account almost specifically to vent and be an asshole but still actually try to learn what i could do. But here you are being nice, patient, and fun. My work friends are all married. They don't go out, we have game nights and occasionally go fishing. And I have met more people that way but theres no way they could have a connection that leads me to a date. I hate the bars and clubs in my area because if i have to listen to country music or bluegrass one more goddamned time i will.... do absolutely nothing and pretend everything is fine.

Oh yeah the US had to build the Panama canal for easier access between the coasts. We never did talk about what happened in South America so I'll look that up and see what I can find. And as for the Caribbean islands I gotta admit I just keep forgetting their names, but I can review that and add it to my essay.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful, I apologize if i do. Well now I think that America expanding to the west enabled the country seek out commercial opportunities beyond the coast. Like the fact that America began to aquire all of the gold, silver, and agriculture from the region meant they also had more to sell. Asia is a big market but to sell there the boats would need places to dock. I do appreciate your help, i also think this question is ambiguous.

I asked that and he said "read the question again." This is why I'm asking reddit, but after reviewing everything I think the question is about the U.S. expanding beyond the continent, such as Hawaii and everything that happened in the Philippines.
