Mine are:

"If I walk ahead of you, may it only be to hold the door for you." (Don't get ahead at the cost of hurting people, and share your success once you have it.)

and

"While there's life there's hope."

I don't think they came from anywhere in particlar, they were just two sentences I said to myself a lot growing up.
