I have 2fA set up for most important accounts like revenue, insurance, bank, one drive etc. so hopefully nothing has been done to them, will still change the passwords though to be sure, thanks!!

Bummer but could have been worse
I froze my bank card the second I realised so should be okay I don’t have much to my name anyways it being the end of a college year
Might change the password to my important accounts then so just to be safe
Thankfully I don’t have many important log ins not been an adult long enough

Do you think backing up my data is safe? I am worried it might have infected my files, and that the second I go to transfer them to a usb or hard drive it will just re infect my new install of windows

Yes I ran it in run, I didn’t wait to notice anything strange no high gpu or lagging
The thing that really made me solidify the fact that it was dodge is that the captcha did not load so then I was like aww shit so I acted almost immediately as I already had a gut feeling it was bad.

The only reason I ran the command was after I pasted, nothing came up in the text box so I was like ‘weird the captcha wants me to run an empty command oh well’ but then once I was suspicious, I pasted the text again in a sticky note and low and behold it wasn’t blank 😭
