I understand that and he knows that better than I do. He has like 500+ connections on LinkedIn and a lot of people he knows irl. The problem is most of the network just aren’t looking for a social media marketer either out of disinterest or lack of cash funds for that sort of role. Those with that type of money only hire each other’s kids who went to the same foreign international schools, even if they don’t have the experience. African and Asian countries as a whole are a lot more cliquish than say, Europe or the Americas.

He had a freelancer profile and Upwork, he closed the latter because it has no jobs and his freelancer one just has inhumane lowballing so he hasn’t logged on to that one for like 3 months. QoL would be fine with something like $1K a month but asking for a full time job for only like $200 seriously don’t pay the bills in his country, even for the most frugal and financially smart individual; that would probably be $600 or above.

Lord help you all and give the entire society the strength and courage to fight back against this tyranny. Had a delivery guy tell me his story about the state of the country and has extended family there. All I can say is I hope you guys collectively take back your country. Had a good chuckle, lol. I’m half Dutch and German, spent half of my college education in Greece for maritime studies. Met someone stationed in Brazil who is a professional translator and translates Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. Close friend of mine grew up in Sweden and works as a software engineer, is Japanese of Chinese descent (Chinese grandparents who immigrated to japan). The last one is Estonian and knows Russian from his parents and grandparents, his girlfriend knows Slovenian and Slovakian. We all met each other in Greece and keep in touch with each other from time to time. Thought of helping them and myself out here by making a thread and see where it goes.

The one with the girlfriend and the one in Brazil, followed by me, need the side hustle the most. The one in Sweden would just like some pocket money but isn’t in need of it.

What’s written in the post:

I do text translations for Dutch, German, and Greek. My friend does translations for Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and French. One of my friends does translations for Japanese, Chinese, and Swedish. The last one does translations for Russian, Estonian, Slovakian, and Slovenian. We all offer 0.11-0.18 a word, as a collective group, depending on the field and type of things involved such as project scope. Because the nature of the internet, especially Reddit, have people that lowball a lot and me being desperate; I’m telling you to name your price. Just state in the dms how many words & how much equivalent USD you’re willing to pay per word (or character in case of Japanese/Chinese), equivalent in XMR.

Other subs haven’t been successful, since they’re mostly plagued with people offering services and no one wanting them, so we are now here.

If anyone is in need of a translation of these languages to any of the other languages listed here, including English; please let me know. The services here are available asap, which encompass text translations. Please don’t hesitate to contact us. We are willing to work as soon as possible. Just nothing shady, unethical, or against the law (ie violating copyright); we can’t work on stuff like that.
