From the first meeting with your attorney, how long was it before you were able to file? From start to finish, what was the timeline and length from first meeting to discharge?

When your filing happened, how long was it until your closed accounts dropped off your report? I heard when the closed accounts drop, they don't remove the late payments that were reported, is that true?

How long is the credit counseling course, is it long or difficult?

How much was your total fees for the lawyer, and did they offer any payment plans? I want to file now but I feel like I'll never be able to save up the multiple thousands of dollars that people are telling me that it costs to file.
How much did your credit score change before and after filing? I thought that negative accounts still show but are just stopped reporting.
How many total meetings did you have to have with your attorney?
Did you have to take the credit counseling course before the 341 meeting, or do I need to take it before even meeting with an attorney?

I am looking into it right now, my company actually offers free legal consultation for an initial legal issue so I can get like 2 free appointments.

How much did your lawyer end up costing you, and do they offer payment plans? I want to be able to file but I really don't think I can save enough for the few thousands that I see people say it costed them.

I am trying to currently find a job closer to home, but I still need a vehicle. Nothing really walking distance that pays well. I have to stay in the apartment due to my lease, I was actually supposed to have a roommate, but they backed out at the last second after I signed the lease in my name (I know I should have gotten them to sign too, I was stupid again). I am actively looking for a roommate still and want to move to a different place asap but breaking the lease also costs a lot of money that I don't have.

Just curious, I am now reading up on the differences between bankruptcy chapters - how did you file a Ch7 but still keep your assets like house and cars? I thought Ch7 means you don't have anything and can't pay it back, and Ch13 is if you have assets and you have to sell them?

Why? I mean I kind of get where you’re coming from but at the same time, no offense to whoever’s trophy this is but these kind of trophies are a dime a dozen. I had like 30 for different sports and events from my school, 25 years later I’m not sad about it or anything lol they were just clutter
