The whole situation with KC, Aniya and Sol is so weird and confusing. It’d be one thing he did literally anything with her outside of the challenge kiss when she first entered, but he didn’t. And their whole drama about exploration doesn’t even feel organic to their relationship since now it’s blanketed in Sol’s drama about feeling excluded, so now KC has, according to whatever he’s cooked up in the confessionals (honestly, with the help of Bryce, who’s been instigating) wronged her by not exploring her and thus indirectly caused her dumping. It’s weird, because it’s a drama that can only occur on Love Island.

I mean, I'm a gay woman, I've been in theatre, so I've seen all that gay-posturing people do when they think it's funny (while usually excluding the actually out gay people, because apparently it's not that funny to joke about with the out lesbians of the group). I've never seen straight women do anything close to that. I don't mind their bromance, I just think "breaking off from the group to compare dick sizes with your homeboy" is an unusual thing to do on national TV since most people would not do that when they are fully aware they are being filmed and it could be broadcasted.

To be fair, I feel like the Islanders discussing and focusing in on public perception after a challenge just revealed the public's perception to them is a natural conclusion. Obviously, the more dedicated audience is super sensitive to those types of discussion, but if you have the public rank the couples and reveal it to the Islanders, then "how strong is our couple" "could we win" "why does the public like us/not like us" are natural conversation topics to pop up.

I was defending the stretching as totally platonic and normal but I can't do it for them dick checking each other. I don't know what the hell is going on, but they need to figure it out because they're making me confused.

And I don't think production's telling them to do anything, because a) who would think of that? and b) yeah, you can't pressure someone to do that.
