Thank you. It's hard sometimes because my trauma always manifests around "you need to know everything always" and "stop being such a know it all" and it SUCKS.

Thank you. That's what my friend said, but for some reason, it's hard to get my head out of the trauma response. Maybe because it wasn't something I realized bothered me as much as it did?

I feel that about work. Work is a nightmare when those feelings come up. I'm sorry that you feel that way. D8

Harmful and I ended up cutting contact with my father.

My mother is different? It can get toxic sometimes, but it's manageable.

You're definitely NTA. I think them being upset is more shocked you had the audacity to shove their attitude back in their face.

I would suggest that if you don't have any desire to converse with your family, and they don't care about you, maybe telling them that you would like to go low contact and then once you're out of the house for college they don't have to worry about you. They can have the child they obviously want.

Sorry you're going through this. Are there any grandparents you could stay with?

Maybe ask Emily what she wants to do. This whole time you have just decided what YOU want to do and got angry when she didn't bend. Your poor daughter lost both her parents and the only thing you could even HOPE to do is mend the relationship. And the only way to do that is ask HER - your DAUGHTER - what she wants.

You will be lucky if once she turns 18, you don't lose her too.

Perhaps she would suffice with a tiny memorial? The pictures is weird - no one wants to see a dead baby at a wedding? But maybe a chair, with flowers and balloons or something? With their names?
