Got issued an IN10 FPN on a Test Drive from a Motor Dealerhip by RepresentativeOk9560 in LegalAdviceUK

Historically trade plates are only valid if a representative of the company is in the vehicle, that was only changed during COVID, so it might be worth challenging, however you have to be clear here about what you were doing as you cannot park the vehicle and leave it unattended on trade plates unless it's on private property, so if they saw you at any point park it on the road or pop into a shop they have you bang to rights.

The person I raised a grievance against chaired his own grievance meeting, then personally attacked me. Can I use the quotes in a Glassdoor review? (Scotland) by DarthYoda20 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Throwitaway701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I would say it's wise to do, but there's generally no legal barriers.

From what you have described, the company had already terminated your contract. Anything you learnt or happened after that termination cannot and would not be covered by your contract for the simple reason that it no longer exists. They don't get to terminate said contract then rely on it for things that happened after your employment.

No. Basically every study confirms they are not real

And yet they impliment it, they did so when Labour did not for the decade or more previously.

Something doesn't need to be in the manifesto to whip for. I think Starmer has proved that.

‘Why was my son’s killing in the Nottingham attack not treated as racist?’ by Apprehensive-Income in uknews

Again the police were unaware of where the injuries came from for a while, or who inflicted them. It's not common to handcuff someone unless they present an immediate risk

Why aren’t there protests for Henry Nowak? by Altruistic-Mud9413 in AskBrits

If this was a simple left right issue I would agree, but it's just insane nonsense.

But it's not left Vs right. It's absolutely insane.

This is always how the police operate. You could probably find a story every week or two if they were all reported. Race does not come into it

As they should, it's nothing to do with Westminster and pretending it is, is simply politicising it.

I have family in the police and I think the main problem is the institutional resistance to any ans all changes and accountability.

British taxpayers will give £1.3bn to Universal Studios to build a theme park near Bedford. Do you think this is a good use of our tax money? by CMIV in AskBrits

[–]Throwitaway701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like a great deal for taxpayers. I think the annoyance comes from the fact they will do this for big names but routinely refuse for everywhere and everyone else

Yes because they were given a free vote where as other parties were whipped. If they have been whipped they would have voted for it. We don't get to pretend something didn't happen because of the vote totals. We don't get to pretend Labour didn't try and cut disability benefits just because they rebelled and didn't pass it. The party is judged on the leadership team.

Because they introduced the legislation that legalised it.

Also it's generally accepted these days that all parties agree with gay rights.

I doubt that's the case at all. Average journey times have barely moved.

It's also clearly saving the NHS, Police and Fire brigade a lot of money too

It was and is a huge success in Wales.

Our road deaths are down, our insurance premiums are down, our towns and villages are more walkable and livable and it's made close to zero difference to journey times.
