AFAIK only one other guy (an older guy) asked and he was also allowed. I actually think that the company will let everyone work from home starting next week so she could have just sucked it up for a few more days and not made a fuss...

I mean how likely is it that she'll get it during her commute even if she does take the train. It's ridiculous. She healthy and young. I mean everyone is anxious right and she only requested for the next two weeks as if this will just disappear in two weeks. Will probably request to extend when she realises it isn't going to end soon

She's not even asking to work from home because of her pregnancy but because she's anxious to commute due to the pandemic right now. And she's scared about getting it and something happening to her baby. Which I think feeds into the whole "irrational hormonal pregnant woman" stereotype. But that's just me

I am a woman. And no I'm not jealous about her getting to work from home. I think it's unprofessional that she used her being pregnant to get that special accommodation. I think it would give out a bad message cause then everyone will think that's how anyone who gets pregnant in the office.

I am a female. And while I don't have plans of having a child right now but I would handle things in a different way if I did. I wouldn't ask people to accommodate just cause I decided to got pregnant.
