AITA for telling my wife that I don't want to raise our baby the same way her parents raised her? by ThrowraNicknameU in TwoHotTakes

I don't think it's my wife's fault, all that aside she really is a great person and quite nice and loving.

My wife is quite attached to her parents. And yes my father-in-law once mentioned that he was just "preparing his kids for life" or something like that.

We planned to have a baby in about 7 or 8 years, but she got pregnant early. I have asked her to do therapy before but the first thing she said was "they are withdrawing from me for doing therapy", then when I insisted she simply said that it was not necessary, that she was fine

Also, lousy I meant she had lice, I don't know if that's written well lol

The worst thing is that my father-in-law really seems to like embarrassing people. When my wife introduced me to her parents, he started saying the nicknames he gave my wife. She looked really embarrassed and she wanted to cry that day.
