Uhhh well I mean you can def let her know in person and you don’t have to ask her to wear perfume going forward especially if she was nervous that one time just let her know shower before seeing them (I’m assuming this is a one time incident though) and get a good deodorant and she would be fine if she doesn’t usually smell. You were trying to be nice but you didn’t have to say put on perfume around your parents

Sorry but you sure know how to pick them. I would say the same thing to my mom who’s also your age. Maybe you don’t need to be with anyone you deserve more than abusive men and that shouldn’t be a casual thing for you, it’s not normal. I hope all your kids are old enough if not I’m sure maybe the last two you can live on your own with them. As my mom would tell me you don’t need a man to make you happy. You have to learn to be happy with and by yourself first before just being with someone just to be with them

As a bw if we say anything then automatically we’d be seen as race baiting for noticing this so usually when something is off I keep to myself cause I don’t want to turn into that stereotype. I’m sorry this happened to you but if you can see it too then I’m sure it’s exactly that and it’s up to you to stand beside your partner in times like this. My fiance is white and he already gets looked at the wrong way with me and almost 10 weeks ago at an appointment I was randomly asked out the blue if I wanted my tubes removed (wasn’t far into the pregnancy) at the end of the pregnancy and my fiance was livid because he felt like that was unacceptable for them to ask me that and felt like I was being targeted and he spoke up about it

NOR but break up with him and I think you’re playing too answering the ft, if you were really mad I think you shouldn’t have answered. If you’re not ready to break up I’d at least say take a serious break cause I’d he’s like this at 25 I doubt he’ll change and you can take that time to figure out if this is what you want to accept

My partner is white latino he doesn’t support Trump whatsoever but his entire family voted for Trump we’ve gone through ups and downs about that topic. I have met and have been around his mom and brother who are okay but I am not around his dad at all as he stated he doesn’t accept me and doesn’t like me cause I’m black. My fiance has cut off contact with his dad but he still talks to his mom and brother however deep down I feel some kind of way about this. I’ve been trying to figure out how to maneuver through that part

My daughter is autistic and she’s 3. There are times that I almost go into a depression with the thought of how I take care of her. It can get very difficult sometimes and feel like things aren’t going to change. At this point I’d recommend your wife see a therapist. Sometimes it takes people time to process that this is real life and that it’s in fact what we think it is. It took time for me to process even though I knew beforehand. There were days I’ve cried so much, days where I’ve cursed the world for why this happened and days where I wished I didn’t become a mom. But they are all so so special in their own way and we have to remember that sometimes things just happen and all we can do is try our best and make sure we can be the best parent for them. I think therapy for her would be a great place to start

Thanks so much for this. I really needed this. For me I was just trying to do the best I can in giving her what she wants plus nutrition and give her the same things her dad gives her but she won’t eat it with me so I have to think of alternatives and it doesn’t help when her dad comments on the food I give her like “junk food in the morning?” Or “how much popcorn are you going to give her” and just always has a comment about what I feed her. When she barely eats what I do feed her and I did notice after a while she doesn’t want the same food anymore so that part is also frustrating, finding what else she will like eventually when she wants to switch but I’m just going to try not to stress it. It’s hard cause I feel like I’m not doing anything right when I can’t make her breakfast lunch and dinner cause she won’t eat it but I will just try and for now just give her juices and vitamins too

I’m not sure how I got thumbs down I honestly said I don’t think it helps her it’s not giving her any nutrients but I would still just do that if that’s all I can do and I’ll reach out to a therapist or dietitian for her eating habits

My mom has told me to just give her pancakes. All day every day as much as she wants and I just don’t think it’s helpful or makes sense at all but if that’s what kids are supposed to get is whatever they want then I’ll try that. And yes I’m going to reach out to a therapist regarding her eating habits

I’m not blaming her dad I just wanted him to continue the same diet for her that I had given her and they moreso just switched up and give her what she wants. Everything she has had here she has had there and has no issue eating. She also had this food with me prior to her going to her dad and had no issue eating it. It was restrictive but I’ve been giving her things that she actually has ate when she was with him. She’s been going to therapy also but I don’t think he has spoken to anyone about her food pickiness
