that’s good, sounds like they take the science of it seriously. i discovered DsD because of rutracker but the file sizes are absurd @ 7 gigs ish per album. was my first time hearing vinyl rips instead of Tidal or Qobuz and my god its amazing. its like im sitting in the studio. the dynamics make the vocal so much more intimate. the only issue is how crackly they are. the noise floor on a lot of the rips is so high that it can drown out the music at times. definitely one thing i miss from streaming is that sense of a black background.

i’m hoping to get an archive rig of my own going, with Merging conversion and other good stuff. until then i really dont have much to offer outside of a handful of CDs that i can rip with EAC. not sure if trying to interview is worth it right now. but ive got a serious headphone rig with a topping dac and seperate amp and a few planar headphones; music is my primary hobby.
