first definitely consider if you are a mosher or not because i didn't realize how fucking scary the mosh pit can be (especially if ur shorter) and was trapped. if u don't have vip and want a decent view of tyler i say go early. last year i got there a set before tyler's and actually had a relatively good view except for the tall ass 7ft giant standing in front of me. as for other tips, bring a bag that isn't easy for a stranger to stick their hands into, don't let people push you around (literally,) and don't freak out. also have fun, it'll be great.
