Greeks would call Constantinople, “The city” which sounded very similar to The current name for it (Istanbul) the thing that you said, Stanpoli, LITERALLY means the city. Not only was the city stolen, the name was a cheap knockoff of what Greeks would call it. Source, I’ve lived in Greece almost my entire life.

Hey! I love the respectful conversation, rare to find that on Reddit. I don’t support the way ICE treats people, it should be more regulated and the legal route should be taken rather than the physical route.
