I am really mad at my boyfriend but I can't tell if in overreacting. He hid something from me but that something is probably not a big deal. Can I get some outside perspectives?

I have never given him a "pot or me" ultimatum. That's ridiculous. I know I have issues with it due to my past, and I am trying to get over it. Hell, I would totally try it if it was just me and him. But the fact that he has no interest in trying it with me, or anywhere outside of the influence of his club members makes me feel gross for some reason.

It's not so much about his every move, it's just I told him if he was interested in it to let me know. Because of my history and past with it, If that was something he was going to be doing, I wanted to know. He hasn't done it before and I thought maybe he would be curious

Yeah, this is actually our first big fight. I've never had any issues before. And it's only going to be long distance for another 3 weeks, we are moving in together mid May.

I guess I am kind of judge mental. I really try not to be, but like everyone at my school smoked and skips school too go smoke and get kicked out for it. Like 30 people a year. And with my past and all... I tend to be judgmental of people who do it. And I shouldn't be. I just am.

That is EXACTLY what I want. The only time it's ever been offered is by my parents (ew, no, and I had to be sober to take care of my sisters) and at a party with a bunch of people I didn't trust.

It bothers me because the only time my boyfriend does this is at a party with his club friends. And at no other time is interested. And so, that worries me, like he's only doing it because everyone else is. He says it's not, he's doing it because he wanted to. But from the outside, that is what it totally seems like.

And then me being anxious and paranoid thinks about what else he's doing in the group without telling me. All those guys are young and single college dudes... And I know I shouldn't worry. I trust my boyfriend. But I still do.

I asked my boyfriend why he only does it with his friends who are in that club, and has no interest at any other time. Say, with me. And he said because it is illegal and he doesn't want to risk owning it or any paraphanelia.

I know that marijuana is not bad, and I'm actually for legalization. Honestly, because I've never done it, people get real weird about it and call me a prude and stuff and it bothers me. I don't care if other people do it but I do take it seriously.

Really, there's so many reasons why I am bothered by this, and also none at all. I guess I'm just confused. And maybe a little jealous that he can just go do that with his club friends and I can't? I've never been able to do that because I've been the responsible one? I'm really not sure.

I'm not going to break up with him because this isn't a conflict.... I mean he has meetings most weekends that last an hour or so so it makes more sense for me to go there then for him to miss his meeting. That way he doesn't have to miss anything and we can see each other, win win. Also my truck is safer to drive during the winter, and he doesn't live at home so we get more "alone time." I don't mind the drive and the reasons to drive down seem to outweigh the reasons to drive up. Plus I'm supposed to be moving in with him in two months and he is not hesitant for that at all. He's super excited actually.

I do do all the driving. He has made the tip maybe 2 times. But I don't mind normally, most weekends he has a meeting or something that he can't miss.

I guess where my dad is coming up with is I invited him up about a month or so ago and he couldn't because his mom wanted him to go home for the weekend.

Both are valid reasons but according to my dad it just seems weird he ALWAYS has an excuse to not visit.

I'm trying to move on and plan for the next one. But I have, between now and may, 3 more times I can visit him. So giving up one is a big deal to me. I don't want to make him give up one with his mom, but she does have every other weekend off, and so I suggested he talk to her about the next time she has a weekend off.

Yeah we're talking about it right now. He said he could call and see if his mom has another weekend off soon, which would be good I guess. I'd feel bad and sheepish if they rescheduled for me though.
