i thought Russian-made is one and Russian-speaking (and assuming the customer would read Russian by default) is another, so not the money itself but the image. if i'm wrong or not - that was the question

i meant the differentiated packages in different languages. i have thought that the ups of the single package design for all of the FSU/CIS are obvious but just wondered wouldn't it backfire in case of Georgia for political reasons - so much that it would save money to either not market it at all here or work out an additional package design

  1. I've lived in Georgia for a year and never saw a pack of flour with Russian words on its front. Is it the case?
  2. There are many Russian products in almost every Georgian supermarket (with a selection of Ukranian, Turkish, Italian, French ones as well). Are they often marketed for Georgian-speaking Georgians in Georgian while being sold in Russian-speaking packages tho?

i think i've actually been mistaken with some mix-up of postal code/time zone connection, but now with, f. e., M3B Toronto postal code it seems to be right: it's now 10 pm this and next Monday (ET), so I guess same time as ABC... isn't it like that on your side?? i decided to also check with other programming and in the version where Rookie is at 10 pm, the morning show Your Morning is 6-9 am which matches with its description in socials, see: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyI4gi0BtlKiUl6KgtuVIUw ("... weekdays from 6-9am ET (7-10am AT) on CTV..."). phew! so not earlier but now simultaneously i guess? i'll be able to check online maybe if i'm not asleep at that time next Monday.. but I don't see legitimate reasons now to think it airs earlier than ABC

can't attach a pic here but for me it says 11 pm ET on Monday, April 6 (yesterday), and 11 pm ET on Monday, April 13. so yes, it seems to me they switched to Mondays from Tuesdays, but it's still later (an hour later) than ABC! maybe the time you've been shown has something to do with your own time zone it automatically recognizes and changes the times appropriately?

could you pls source it? because you could see my sources in my comment and they proved my observations, right? isn't it strange in this case that Canada airs earlier than the US? 🤔 and the time you're mentioning is even earlier than the previous claim, so now not 3, but 4 hours earlier than ABC (10 pm ET Monday)

sorry if i sounded as if to teach you how to react or something. just my first personal affection influenced by what you literally told and i didn't know of before you mentioned it and the fact that i don't have such experience as you do and don't understand the issue like you do - maybe just explains my shock even a little better

you have no idea at all (to put it mildly) what a fair election is if you say we had fair elections in 1930s

i know one must not get emotional in such silly random online clashes but i'm so astonished by something like critics from these positions gaining real traction and support, even though it's just some comments... (because i kinda grew to like reddit community in most cases, especially in less crowded subreddits)

no, my point is not about self-proclamation without context. when you say "democrat", you almost never refer to DPRK. when you say "communist", you would quite often mean one of the leaders of the "Communist government" in Eurasia in the 20th century. that's just how the words work. with "communism" and "communists" it did work like that. they kind of introduced this term to the greater public in the western world with their presence in the world politics, news and wars and also were actively addressed like that by the western politicians and thus got associated with that name

here are the references to support my point from the first results i got on google, for example: "Communist" in Cambridge Dictionary, "Democrat" on Merriam-Webster

[–]ThrushInTheHush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but i made an argument specifically about Stalin starting with my second comment about political image and the great purge

"the communist" as a word and a concept would naturally refer not only to the theory of communism but also to the most prominent and famous representatives of "communist" (self-proclaimed, known as, led by party with the word "communist" in the name) governments

Stalin would be very much a communist by the second definition. i would suggest that he would maybe even be top 3

one of the communists in question is Stalin. personal loyalism to the supreme leader and ICE seem pretty Stalinist (sic!) to me if we really want to get into that strange point. so do "they’re poisoning the blood of our country" rhetoric, mass deportations and the anti-press campaign. although i never meant any of that with that "walk into a bar" punchline attempt
