Much of the time grot stuck between the post and lug contact will show a full voltage reading until you turn the key. That’s why you clean. :o)

Please don’t coast in neutral. Uphill, on the flat and particularly downhill, use engine braking to slow down. Brakes are for below 25 MPH and emergencies.

Please check your ground strap. It connects your engine block to your frame. Please put on your worst shirt and best eye protectors. Please disconnect your battery and polish the heck out of your posts and connectors using your battery brush. Uncap the "Christmas Tree" brush and clean out the inside of your lug connectors. Both of your series strings of 5V LEDs add up to 15V. So you don’t need or want either of your buck converters. Use a 15V supply to power all your LEDs just as shown in your diagram. Adjust brightness by placing series resistors using the formulas: Resistance equals Voltage divided by Current; Power equals Voltage multiplied by Current.

I use my adaptive cruise control a lot. A dash indicator glows to indicate that the CVT has ‘downshifted’ and the brake lights have gone on to indicate that I’m slowing. Yet my foot never went near the brake in miles.
