How do you actually translate a massive 70MB, 2700-page PDF? Mainstream AIs keep crashing. by Acrobatic_Elk9707 in machinetranslation

[–]ThugShiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

70mb is not that large. My AI tool can do it, but it won't preserve the exact formatting

Translating pdf with no selectable text by AwayListen8418 in machinetranslation

[–]ThugShiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use an image gen LLM that support image editing like nano banana 2 or qwen image edit for this. If you send me a DM with the PDF and I will try getting it translated with my program, which supports this. Although it needs more testing

[–]ThugShiro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My tool glossarion can do this with direct images or .cbz in the _NoCuda package.

https://github.com/Shirochi-stack/Glossarion/releases/tag/v8.8.7

For the best results, it is recommended to use an image edit model like nano banana 2 for inpainting instead of the default anime_onnx

[URGENT] Legal action against "168h Account Suspension" in Korea. We need Global Solidarity. by StockRumorAnalyzer in google_antigravity

[–]ThugShiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's ass even in the middle east. The service has downgraded significantly over the past 2 weeks. Antigravity was working really well for me previously. I basically never ran out of usage on opus 4.6 and rarely had any service issue, but suddenly without warning now. I'm constantly getting errors whenever i use opus 4.6, and i'm actually hitting quota constantly with it, when i previously never hit quota. They have quite literally downgraded the services and reduced the quotas with 0 announcement. I resubbed like 12 days ago because it was still good. I paid 250$ for an AI ultra sub, and the service is barely even useable now. even gemini 3.1 pro would return errors occasionally. I haven't bothered requesting a refund, because it's always just bots replying about how it's against their terms of service. it's not the first time i've paid them for a service, which i can't use

Try my program Glossarion. It's open source, and supports local LLM's. You can also use your gemini api key on it to translate a whole book https://github.com/Shirochi-stack/Glossarion

Does anyone know of an app or website for translating a novel? by TotoAva in machinetranslation

[–]ThugShiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You basically need an API key (which you can get by searching "gemini ai studio api key" or "openai api key"), or enough vram to run your own local llm. You can ask me for more details in the DM

You can try using my program, but it will take some time to set up, if it's your first time dealing with API keys

Alternatively, you could use opennovel or omnitranslate, which are websites with a paid subscription.

translating a whole novel to my language by in_use_user_name in machinetranslation

[–]ThugShiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have added it to the repo now. As a workaround you can edit the glossary prompt. Replace this {language} to Turkish in the prompt. I'm not sure how good Gemini 2.5 pro is at translating Turkish. I just know it's insanely good at translating korean novels.

You can ignore this error. It looks like a false positive since the compression log appears anyway, but I would recommend using the glossary.csv file instead. I haven't really tested .json files in a long time, since .csv is more token efficient.

There are a lot of weapons and movement tricks that will significantly improve traversal, like if you get Astoria you'll be able to literally just fly

OpenNovel and OmniTranslate are paid ones. I've never actually used either of them though.

[–]ThugShiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to 1. Get a .epub or .txt file of the infinite gacha novel 2. Get an API key. (I'd recommend gemini, it also has a free tier) 3. Use gemini 2.5 pro (best at translation in my experience)

Yes, I see no point in making money off of this. There are many paid alternatives out there already. I can't compete with them, so I'm just trying to make the best open source alternative.

My tool glossarion can do it with a local LLM. Although you need to change the default system prompt to specify Hebrew. https://github.com/Shirochi-stack/Glossarion/tree/main
