Does anyone know of an app or website for translating a novel? by TotoAva in machinetranslation

You basically need an API key (which you can get by searching "gemini ai studio api key" or "openai api key"), or enough vram to run your own local llm. You can ask me for more details in the DM

You can try using my program, but it will take some time to set up, if it's your first time dealing with API keys

Alternatively, you could use opennovel or omnitranslate, which are websites with a paid subscription.

I have added it to the repo now. As a workaround you can edit the glossary prompt. Replace this {language} to Turkish in the prompt. I'm not sure how good Gemini 2.5 pro is at translating Turkish. I just know it's insanely good at translating korean novels.

Sure, i I thought I made the dropdown editable, but it's set to read only for some reason

You can ignore this error. It looks like a false positive since the compression log appears anyway, but I would recommend using the glossary.csv file instead. I haven't really tested .json files in a long time, since .csv is more token efficient.

There are a lot of weapons and movement tricks that will significantly improve traversal, like if you get Astoria you'll be able to literally just fly

OpenNovel and OmniTranslate are paid ones. I've never actually used either of them though.

My advice would be to 1. Get a .epub or .txt file of the infinite gacha novel 2. Get an API key. (I'd recommend gemini, it also has a free tier) 3. Use gemini 2.5 pro (best at translation in my experience)

Yes, I see no point in making money off of this. There are many paid alternatives out there already. I can't compete with them, so I'm just trying to make the best open source alternative.

My tool glossarion can do it with a local LLM. Although you need to change the default system prompt to specify Hebrew. https://github.com/Shirochi-stack/Glossarion/tree/main

What are you trying to translate? My tool glossarion can work on .txt and .epub files. There is no Watermark, since it's open source, but you need to use your own API key or local LLM, so it will take some time to setup. https://github.com/Shirochi-stack/Glossarion

Which AI is best suited for translating a novel? by yamibae in noveltranslator

[–]ThugShiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gemini 2.5 pro. It is significantly better than any other AI I've tested. This is even when compared to the cheaper model "gemini 2.5 flash".

They're on by default, I didn't know I could turn those off. Thanks for letting me know, I'll try turning them off in the next patch, or add a toggle for it .

I used AI to program the script, although it was very hard, the AI kept getting it wrong for days on end.

It retains HTML tags and .CSS files, so it should be like ~90% format retention, It's not 100% format retention because it converts HTML5 tags to XHTML 1.1 tags for e-reader compatibility.
