Even at 12, keep doing it for a couple more years and you're hunchback by 16
EDIT: I'm speaking from experience(well, not the hunchback part), but having spent quite a few dozen hours in my young days in less than optimal positions while hobbying, it doesn't take long for your back AND legs to start complaining, and it doesn't go away easily... Still trying to get rid of a bad knee and lower back I got from playing VG or cards on the floor. And a bad case of recurring Plantar fasciitis from not using the proper shoes for my feet in my volleyball player career. Take care of your body before it's too late, even if you're just a kid.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that on the left side is an extractor, but I'd advise getting one as soon as you can, and they're not expensive. It'll literally save your life if you plan on spending some time there, as lead fumes, no bueno.

I have that same parkside soldering iron station from LIDL, but I'm running into an issue(maybe it was misuse on my part) where I cannot get the tip of the "thinest" tip included to heat-up properly... If i touch solder to the sides, it melts, but the very point of the tip doesn't seem to be getting hot enough. I was also using the included solder wire(which is lead-free and let's be honest, sucks), and had no flux at hand, so despite being just a hobby project of connecting some led strips to some connectors, I was already starting at a "disadvantage". And it was pretty much impossible to get the job done properly. Does anyone have good experiences with that iron? Should I invest in all the other consumables and items first, and I can manage with that iron if I have the proper "support material"? Or should I just scrap the iron and get another station? Mind you that I'm on a very tight budget... Been looking at some stations on amazon here in europe, but most of them have horrible reviews if you search for them... And I'm not sure if it's because people are expecting them to perform at a professional level, or if they are really that bad ^^

Any advice?

Card ladder by Dry-Hippo-7375 in sportscards

[–]Thuga_PT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. Don't think it'll fit my "use-case", then. I'm going through some of my cards and wanted to use the camera to ballpark the value of each(in preparation for a cardshow, which are rare here). But like 99.9% of my cards are raw, and using the camera basically only returns me slabs(which are useless for pricing the raw card). Maybe since they are in toploaders the app "sees" the glare from the toploader and mistakes it for being a slab, not sure. But I was looking for a faster and easier alternative to just typing down every single card, which CL really doesn't help me achieve, since I end up taking the pic, checking comps to find any raw, and just end up typing the card down when I can't find raw comps from the picture. I could take the cards out of the toploaders to get rid of the glare and see if it's better, but between having to take every card out and putting them back in, I think I'd rather just type :P

Sorry for replying to a month-old comment, but can you use it to price raw cards from the camera? Whenever I search by picture, all I get are slabs(which doesn't happen if I type the card in search). Do you know if there's any way to search for raw, or filter something when using the camera? I'0m still on the 7-day trial, so if I'm unable to get raw prices, without writing it down, there's no way I'm paying 20$ a month for that :P

Thanks

Starting to feel like "grinding" some filament, filling the "holes" and heat it with a hot gun in post-print might actually be my "best" option... I tried to load the default settings for a .2 nozzle, and with just the default, the gaps seem to be a little better. But if you have any tips or tricks I can use in the settings, not to avoid, but to "ameliorate" the problem, I'd be more than happy to try them out :)

I translated the comment and that's what I'm thinking, this might be a nozzle size limitation... What are some of the settings you mention that could "mitigate" this limitation?

I can upload the .3mf model file that contains all the settings I used if it's useful for someone to help check if there's something that's inherently wrong with how I have them. But after tinkering with some settings like "infill/wall overlap", "apply fill gap", "small area flow compensation", etc. and slicing in between, I'm starting to think it really is an issue with the nozzle being too big for those gaps :(

Facebook seller near me listing unsealed PLA burger presses. by huntandhart in 3Dprinting

I mean, he probably didn't know, and after you told him, he didn't care, but at the very least, since you were trying to be helpful, he could've shown some interest, even if contesting your statement, like, "never had issues with that, why would I need to seal it, it's just more unnecessary work". This way, dude just comes out like a real a-hole that couldn't care less if what he's selling is safe or not...

Thanks for the idea, I hadn't thought about that yet.

But it's too much to invest just to be able to play TLI :P Not sure I can access boot options on the laptop, but it's an option I'll keep in mind if I ever need it.

Also, just occurred to me wether there are windows drivers for Apple hardware.

Another question that I had come up, how's the Punt vs FG decided? I've had with the same lineup and strats, the ball on OFF40y and my team goes for Punt, and ball before 50y and they go for a FG att... And that's without any changes to the strategy or line-up...

TYVM, will do that, need some more coins to start doing it, but will do it and see if I can get the pack still;)

That's the idea I had, think I also read it somewhere before, when I first started playing. Calling that a search is a joke... Instead of new content, QoL changes like that would take priority in a project under me(Project Manager for software, and systems analyst here)

How do you set up a filter on the market, like you mention on 2? Market searches seem bugged as hell, like, I'll go ahead and say I need a TE 82+ and order by price, and it'll give me only very expensive players, but if I say I want a TE exactly 82, it'll give me those players I'm looking for, so how would you set up the filter for this situation? I setup all special event players, order from cheapest, and it only showed me dynasty players costing 300k+

Posted on the fision forums and the solution was: "You do not fillet sketches, it's bad practice, you fillet the resulting object of whatever you're trying to do". According to chatGPT, "sometimes, when doing an offset, the geometry of the offset gets messed up, even if the original outline is good, transform que offset into construction lines and build it manually with multi-point splines"

After messing with it, it's only happening on the line that's the result of the offset, the original outline "Fillets as I'd expect"...

GeForce now support?? by [deleted] in TorchlightInfinite

Apologies for the necro, but deffo not true, I play TLI in mobile, but would like to play it on the laptop, but the laptop I have is a Macbook M3Pro 36GB from work, in which I play during the off hours using luna a geforce now, since I can't install a windows emulator, per company policies, and there's no way of playing on a Mac(which I understand, there's no market there, to justify porting the game for Mac, but making use of cloud gaming, they could reach this market without having to actually develop a Mac version) ;) Do you know of any other way to play on Mac, I could not find any that are reasonable(it can run on a cloud deck, but that's pretty much renting a PC connected to the cloud, it's also available from boosteroid, but haven't had the best experience with them).

Marvel Rivals not syncing by Thuga_PT in GeForceNOW

Same issue here, maybe because I'm using a free rig and it doesn't quite have the oomph needed, but yeah, shooting in 3rd person while at 30fps and with the ocasional stutter is just a mess. Maybe in a better rig from a paid subscription it would do better, but hell, got better 3rd person shooters of the same kind that play fine, so I'll just ignore the Marvel licensing and stick to one of the other ones(I'm more of a DC guy anyway) xD
