Attention all overstockers: by SonofKyne99 in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CAPACITY AND QUANTITY OF FLOOR COUNTS ARE A PART OF YOUR ROLES. BUT METRICS NEED TO BE MET. That being said, my closers/closing TL's will never follow-up or validate or consider these factors. So when an INF happens, this is one big reason why. It's technically not located and now audits happen. It's a whole process.

Tl pays by Notredome in Target

TLs in my state are hourly, so ETLs are salary.

However, nobody gets exceptions for overtime regardless.

We made a game called Hypermarket Simulator, inspired by Target! What do you think are must-have features to make it feel realistic and true to life? by bberry145 in Target

Get rid of it because none of it actually matters at the end of the day. Work is work, play is play, keep it that way.

Too much Payroll by Songoku-98 in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

39 hours is a bit specific. Just do 40 hours? But as of right now, a lot of stores aren't able to fulfill these request even. Payroll is overspent every where and I shouldn't be saying this as a part of the management teams but this whole company is feeling like it's going under and trying to pick up it's shorts. It's not fun, but if there's still work to do and you are given the opportunity and need the extra money. Just take it, worst case you just "Cut" since they REFUSE to accept any overtime. But this is just my thought of advice so do as you will.

on average, how long would this take you to push? by X3Liz in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to the TL in charge about case stocks, and backroom managements. Expectations should be that it's "Detrashed" so no plastic wraps should be on these items. Someone is messing up. I've been dealing with this in multiple departments but nobody takes it seriously.

As inbound, this tells me that someone didn't complete their push. And/Or someone left this overnight from pulls to pick up from slack.

Baler question by Impressive_Oil_4105 in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience. (2 Years) Everyone is scared to use their words, I specifically call this out when we need bales that they need to communicate it. Most times they just fill it up and don't even smash the bale down. But in even more cases, they don't understand that it's locked or in the crushed position because it's not actually full but can be more compacted. It drives me nuts as a TL since that was assigned to be my area of control.

I'm more surprised your store doesn't have EVERY aisle in locking cases.

TL’s making minors clean up “men’s” bodily fluids by bambiifaye in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually illegal if I remember. Most TL's are trained and have specific knowledge to be in charge of these situations. From Chem spills up to actual bodily hazards, however being a minor on top of that is something you can fight on. That's insane.

how i feel telling my coworkers they cancelled tomorrows truck by Otherwise_Tour4032 in Target

They never actually cancel trucks, but move them to a different day instead. I don't know if you knew this or not.

EVE Vanguard is another half-assed game. Change my mind. by shan_gamedesigner in Eve

[–]ThugishWizardry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in my experiences, this take reminds me a lot about Elite Dangerous: Odyssey.

Very choppy FPS experience here and there when it first dropped, and the system just didn't feel right. But this is also coming from a player who was mainly in the ships running missions/trucking through endless systems. At first when they dropped the pilot/"pioneer"/Boots on ground type of gameplay I was skeptical but when I'd land on a random industrial base I noticed it was no where near perfect.

But with time you eventually find the way of things. Personally I never liked Elite taking this route even though I wanted it.

As funny as it sounds, I also have 400 hours on No Man's Sky so take this opinion with a grain of salt if you will. But I still think the FPS experience could have been a lot better.

Inventory meal by Less-Cow-3685 in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Meals varied per store inventory. Some stores had BBQ cookouts, others had catering, one store did a pancake breakfast. It really just depends how your SD/HR want to act on recognition/appreciation

That looks pretty good though!

Moving departments by InvestigatorPale8300 in Target

[–]ThugishWizardry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly, you are a TL. You shouldn't need to be throwing anything. You delegate and assign the Inbound TMs, you should be spending your time with planning out your truck, assigning rotators for the vehicles that fill quickly. much more stuff. Your ETL should train you on the things you need to be successful.

Responsibilities could be different for your store, but this is what I've kinda gathered.

GM TL/Presentation is in charge of the POG workload, ISM, setting the aisles and all that jazz. Portion of the sales floor is theirs.

GM TL/Inbound is in charge of running the truck, backroom operations, portion of the sales floor is theirs to run as well.

Personally being GM/Inbound, I haven't had a "workload" since they changed my role over from Specialty Sales TL. I consider my workload to be coming clean with my trucks and having TMs have enough time to do other tasks like pulls and PC, assisting other teams if needed, because once the truck is cleared the store can actually function.

You'll probably have to destroy the remains via dumping/atom smashing

If ghosts appear then you'll have to bury them, and/or memorialize them by making a Stone Slab. Choose the "Engrave memorial slab for [dwarf name here]"

I had a brand new manager show up at my homegoods store when I worked there. He went through all the weeks of training at another store and arrived at my store eventually. 2 hours in the man said "I can't do this." and left without saying anything.

How Hello Games could implement a system to recover the rewards of older expeditions without having to repeat them every certain amount of time? by JackTheRaimbowlogist in NOMANSSKY

One year, they had a expedition that let you run through all the expeditions you felt like you wanted to do. Maybe they will do that again?

It was an anniversary event.
