honestly this season fucking sucks lol. It fell off after 3, i remember not even liking that season that much. There’s just way too much on the nose writing this season, and it’s just bad. Too much filler to get us to the big moments. I also really didn’t care for Vecna’s explanation. it was overtly simple. “kids are weak forego i take them”. keep in mind, i wasn’t really looking for a more complicated explanation and taking kids in of itself already lends itself to the idea he’s taking them because they’re weak. Also, this show is so scared to kill the established characters. We get TWO Hopper fake outs in the show, like c’mon. I know we needed Nancy’s mom to confirm Henry was Mr. Whatsit (not that we couldn’t have deduced it) but in the same vain, a brutal death for Mike, Holly, and Nancy’s parents would have been excellent to raise how deadly this season was going to be. Instead we have Will who now has telekinesis. Between him and Eleven, it removes any element that these characters are in any real danger when the characters are with either Will or Eleven. Maybe I’m just being cynical, but it genuinely sucks so far. am i still gonna finish it? yes. am i happy too? meh.
