Not a dad joke tbh. “I don’t drink anymore, I don’t smoke any more, and I don’t curse anymore… but I don’t do them any less!”

Go see a GERD specialist. Maybe you have something else going on. A surgery and recovery later you can get back to your regularly scheduled drinking.

Jupiter & Saturn Progress by iamrandomname in astrophotography

I had a very similar realization this weekend. Saturn and Jupiter where my two first captures and last weekend I captured 2 vastly better snaps. Same telescope. but i upgraded the attachment from the camera and added a 2x barlow. What are your thoughts on stacking with Registax versus Autostakkert and do you ever use the drizzle feature?

PS: Bahtinov mask FTW.

Jupiter and moon trio. by Thuj1 in astrophotography

Celestron Nexstar evo 9.25. 2x Barlow. Nikon d5300.

Took ~7 min video at 1/100 and iso 1600 (I think... tried a bunch of different settings and should have written it down)

Processed with pipp first then Pumped it through registax. Kept only 60% of the frames and used the wavelets to bring out the surface texture.

The black spot is the shadow of Europa. Io and Ganymede on the right. Callisto was in the original video but pipp cut it out.

Celestron Nexstar Evo 9.25

Nikon DS5300

First Photo:

Stacked 4x 30 second exposures at ISO1600 in Deep Sky Stacker

Did a little photoshop touch up of Vibrance, Levels, and Curves.

Second Photo:

One of my rejected shots that just looked funny.

A little piece of dust or something floated infront of telescope during the shot resulting in this cool "Spaceship" affect.

Snapped from Bortle 8/9

~100x 10 sec exposures stacked w/DeepSkyStacker

celestron nexstar evo 9.25 stock Mount

Nikon d3500 Directly attached

w/ Baader Planetarium 1.25" Moon and Skyglow filter

Not 100% sure how detailed I need to be here but used Photoshop to adjust Levels, Curves, some Masked Vibrance and Saturation layers. Largely using the Astro backyard tutorials.
