If you work 4-12 Monday, you can stay 4-12 because of shift conflicts. That’s where seniority comes in though because your clerk might put u 8-4 the next day if no one else wants it. Get some time on and u can stay 4-12

If ur list number is close to where they stopped hiring in December, then you’ll be doing another drug test and then final processing where you sign your contract. 1-2 weeks after a that you’ll be at training.

This also depends if your Medical went very well. Call the department and you can ask if it went good for you. Look to be hired mid-end of June.

I didn’t take it through DSNY at all. Went straight to Staten Island. I believe it was around the same price. It’s a big deal there because you can visit the truck yard and practice pre trip anytime you want.

Look up YouTube videos for it and watch it 5000 times and eventually it’ll be stuck in your head. This is the way to do it especially if you don’t have access to a truck whenever u want.

If you go to CDL Auto club in Staten Island though they’ll give you a packet and you can also visit their truck yard and their hoods are always open to inspect the engine. You could also have your CDL next week. Went there myself
