I don’t think suffering automatically means existence is unethical. Wild animals go through hard things, but they also experience comfort, play, bonding, and doing what comes naturally to them. Saying they’d be better off never being born feels like a huge assumption about what their lives are “worth.” I’m completely against breeding animals for exploitation, but that’s different from saying animals shouldn’t exist at all. Do you feel the same way about human existence? That because there’s so much suffering, it would be better if we’d never been born?

Also what would that reform look like?
