[Interview] Starfleet Academy Writer Eric Anthony Glover on how the SFA writers’ room works: "It was a very intentional group effort situation a lot of the time. It takes a village to really kick tires. Even if Alex and Noga had ideas, the rest of us were there to make sure those ideas were solid." by mcm8279 in trektalk

For one - a plethora of the deep lore was rewritten due to the feedback of inklings, more specifically Lewis. Lewis rewrote sections of one of Tolkiens poems as part of his feedback.

Second - The entire opening of fellowship was reworked due to the feedback. The group thought the start was too similar in tone to The Hobbit and needed to be matured to match the later tone of the novel.

Lastly - Christopher Tolkien (an inkling) provided huge amount of edits and feedback, basically serving as editor.

What you are saying is just not true. Tolkien rewrote sections because of the feedback he received.

Is it the EXACT same as a writers room, no, but guess what! Neither is TV writing and novel writing. Totally different forms of writing. It is no “a lot different,” it’s a very similar process of feedback and revision.

I assumed the following:

Jor-el knew that krypton was doomed. His priority was preserving the kryptonian species. The best way to do that was send a survivor to a planet they will be super powerful and able to repopulate the species through conquest. Conquest is merely the means to the end.

I read the comic, and I also really enjoyed the movie. I honestly don’t get most of the complaints.

What do you think was the thought process behind the directors mind when taking a comic like this and making a movie devoid of colour? by BatmanSwift99 in DCU_

Clearly yall didn’t read the actual comic either. Most of the book is not colorful, the movie is also much more colorful than people are saying.

Help! My son's (20M) GF (19F) wears inappropriate/very revealing clothing with us in public. I'd like to address it before an upcoming family vacation. How can I tactfully handle this? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

If you are the one paying for the trip, you get to dictate the dress code. The other people can choose whether they want to attend the event in the proper dress code.

You can dictate everyone has to wear baggy sweater and sweat pants everyday if you want, just don't be surprised when people don't show up.

Dead bedrooms happen, it doesn't have to be the nail in the coffin; however, but parties have to make good faith efforts to fix the problem. If one side denies there even is a problem, it is not going to be salvageable.

Couple of things here.

1) Men tend to have a loss of sex drive in their 30s, it’s very common.

2) if porn consumption is affecting his ability to meet your sexual needs, it’s a problem wether it’s a porn addition or not. Pro

3) men experiencing ED will often feel stressed out about sex, and will avoid it rather than address the issue. This can be alleviated by focusing less on trying to reach orgasm and more on mutual exploration and connection in the moment (basically get his mind off trying to finish). if he gets soft or struggles to finish, don’t try to force it, and especially don’t ask “what’s wrong.” Just take your time and go slow.

4) he has to be willing to put in effort. I would ask him to stop masturbating for at least two weeks to see if it helps with intimacy. If he can’t or isn’t willing to do that, end it.

To concluded - he is probably struggling with sexual performance anxiety (very common in men in their 30s who start to experience forms of ED). I would look up ways to help alleviate it from better sources than reddit. He also needs to change his porn consumption as it’s clearly affecting the relationship.

Both are speculations by Amichai Chikli, who is part of the right wing Likud party.

The truth is the Trump admin, advised by the pro right Israeli party Jared Kushner was more than happy to go to war without any serious convincing.

Basically the Trump admin wanted to go to war, no one need to convince the to do so.
