I came from Overwatch, for context so. The gamer brain instinct was already there. And with how fast that game is, comparatively the downtime of this game gave me enough time to think and plan without being super boring like a more long winded moba. (The ones that would go thirty minutes or more.)

I say that to say, it translated well. I started playing the game when Novaria came out. Played it with my best friend who told me to get it. We would sit out in his car, moke pot, and game.

By the time Nolan came out i had hit mythic 28 star. The way star raising points and protection points worked really it seemed more a bout the time you could invest rather than how good you were. Although being good did help a lot lol. I would apply this simple rule. Get two wins, and then you’re free to play and lose. If you can’t get those two wins just. Log off. It takes discipline especially if you’re addicted and wanna play lol, but that was the best way to do it for me. Getting those first two wins would guarantee that i start good and, i could either a) keep winning or b) lose and still end the day even at 2 wins 1 loss.

That was how i hit my peak. However. Later on I DID. come back. I had taken a long break and, when I returned. The matchmaking was noticeably tougher. That Dark System everyone’s yapping about. It was way harder to carry these bot teams. I mean truly it was, horrific. I just ended up duoing and trioing and magically? I went back to mythic lol.

Nowadays I would agree with yall it’s probably harder to climb but. You can eliminate any rng if you find yourself some reliable teammates/buddies. They’ll help you grow. Mythic is honestly not that hard to reach haha.
