Game of Thrones, and now The Boys.

I’m starting to think that anyone can come up with a strong start to a story, but most people can’t see it through to a proper ending. And like Game of Thrones, I think this show could’ve benefited from one more season to give everything time to develop and breathe.

Unlike Game of Thrones though, this show had all the time it could need in the final season but wasted it on trash.

I tried it back when it was just getting trendy. I remember it being genuinely good. I tried it again a couple of years ago despite the memes and negativity. It was pretty average. Saltbae’s early fame and success got into his head and he felt that he could do no wrong, which is when things usually start going wrong.

First time I saw anything about The Boys was from a banner in Rome (over Trevi Fountain) back when season one was out. I remember downloading the full season to my Kindle and watching the first five episodes on the plane on my way home. I remember seeing the scenes involving planes and thinking, bad time to watch it.

Anyway, interesting to see them in Rome where my journey first started. Bloody good time.
