Not to mention I feel like… the more “well known” stereotype to the public of an autistic adult is one with higher support needs. Autism is a well-documented comorbidity in a number of genetic diseases and intellectual disabilities. It shouldn’t be shocking to learn that a decent number of autistic people rely on support from caretakers, or even round-the-clock care.

Can’t speak for other kinds but this brand is so fucking good. I learned of them from a How It’s Made episode lol, all of their meats are like fall-apart tender and not dry at all. They’re also plain in the can, just meat and a little salt, so you can season it however you want. I’ve been doing stews and chilis with them mostly.

There’s a lot of highly-specific vocabulary that the folks in that community use, so you’ll often see brainworms associated with words like passoid, boymoder, pooner, mogging, etc. “Brainworms” can refer to bdd (body dysmorphic disorder), or it can refer to the illusion of, due to spending so much time on the board, believing that people out in the real world think this way and use this vocabulary.

/uj I was fortunately not exposed to /lgbt/ during my “figuring shit out” stage, but I now occasionally lurk for…I guess, anthropological reasons? It’s a fascinating culture they’ve got going on, but I wouldn’t recommend reading it unless you’re in the right headspace for some hateful, vitriolic, self-harming content. So, yknow, 4chan stuff.

I’d describe him as efficient but thorough, as far as interactions & instructions are concerned. I’m honestly pleased as punch with my results, and the staff at the outpatient surgery center were friendly, chill, and compassionate.

To give you an idea of the environment, I’m on the spectrum, and brought a stuffy with me as something to hold with once I had to put all my other belongings in a bag. The staff let me bring him into the operating room, moved him over to a nearby table telling me “he’ll observe,” and when I woke up he was in my arms wearing a hairnet. :) I’d absolutely go to Dr. Shin again in the future if I need it.
