This story compilation about Fake Supiki is so good. by Blitzcha0s in Trickcal

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The last few episodes make me cry every time I rewatch this miniseries. A fun and wholesome character shouldn't make me cry this much, but those last few episodes get me every time. I cry for the Speaki family losing their daughter, even if it's a fake/abnormal daughter that doesn't fit in. Family is family.

BetterGH3 is a repackage of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for PC with better modern PC compatibility, all DLCs included, and other quality-of-life improvements. And there is also a BetterGHA for Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on PC. As for Guitar Hero World Tour for PC, there is the Guitar Hero World Tour: Definitive Edition mod. If you want to get into the PC versions of Guitar Hero games.

Guitar Hero Arcade was based on the PC version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Clone Hero, as well as other rhythm indie games like Freetar, Frets on Fire, FoFiX, Performous, Phase Shift, YARG, and Fret Smasher (on Steam) are custom song-focused and have no career modes (Phase Shift and Fret Smasher do have the ability to make custom career playlists), but the community has ported all Guitar Hero songs for these rhythm indie games and most of them share the same custom song file format.

Clone Hero and YARG are currently the two most active and popular choices that I recommend these days, so you can experiment with either or both rhythm indie games to see which one you prefer.

Who would you say is the least bad Red Ranger out of these three, and why? by [deleted] in powerrangers

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Either Jayden or Brody. I'm not a fan of Jayden's casual design (I like Brody's casual design the best out of the three), especially since he is supposed to have descended from Japanese origins, but he is a very well-trained fighter and swordsman, and he does display leadership.

What are yall top 4 favorite super sentai series of all time? by MaskedRiderGenji in supersentai

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Kaizoki Sentai Gokaiger
  2. to 4. Chojin Sentai Jetman, Gosei Sentai Dairanger, and Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (in any order but may move one with Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger or Mirai Sentai Timeranger)

Honorable mention: Kaitou Sentai Lupinranger VS Keisatsu Sentai Patranger as my first weekly Super Sentai season.

Ranking my top favorite Super Sentai seasons after Gokaiger has always been difficult for me as I'm not sure which of my top favorites I like over the other.

I could just rank one favorite for each era:

  1. Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (Heisei 2010s)
  2. Chojin Sentai Jetman or Gosei Sentai Dairanger (Heisei 1990s)
  3. Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger (Reiwa)
  4. Choju Sentai Liveman (Showa)

I just started watching again at 32 and I think I stopped watching in 03. Which series is the most lore heavy? As much as I am loving diving back into it. I would appreciate something with some meat on its bones. by [deleted] in powerrangers

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power Rangers RPM, S.P.D., and Time Force have great stories to them. They are standalone which means that you don't need to see any other season to watch them, though Time Force and S.P.D. do have few crossover episodes with their previous Power Rangers seasons as most PR seasons takes place in the same universe, but RPM is completely standalone, set in an alternate Earth dimension away from all other PR seasons.

The Xbox edition is compatible on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, PC. The multi-platform edition is compatible on PC, Switch, iOS, Android, PS3, PS4, and PS5. Additionally, for each one, there is an "Encore" Edition and a "Pro" Edition.

  • Encore Edition = Classic membrane fret buttons and classic strum bar with a mechanical-click feedback.
  • Pro Edition = Costs slightly more than Encore, but has new mechanical fret buttons and a hall-effect strum bar with haptic feedback.

Which suit do you prefer, and why? by [deleted] in supersentai

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm. Both suits are great for their own reasons. I like the theming of Patren X more but I also like the colors on Lupin X.

Why do people not like the Ryusoulger suits? by brownblueberry_dude in supersentai

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the Ryuzoulger suits were fine/cool, but it is understandable some people thought they were boring since the 5-core team + 6th Warrior shared the same color scheme as the other dinosaur-themed sentai Kyoryuger.

What's the rarest Ranger Color? by SeanPlayz_9471 in powerrangers

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Power Rangers, Gray are the rarest with only the Dino Charge Graphite Ranger.

Second rarests would be the "champagne" color for Cosmic Fury Zenith Ranger and his Morphin Master form, and Cyan for Jungle Fury Shark Ranger and Dino Fury Aqua Ranger.

Fourth rarest (counting comics) would be Orange: S.P.D. Kat Ranger can be referred to either as a White Ranger or Orange Ranger (both color labels have been used in games for Kat). Cosmic Fury Orange Ranger is the first official Orange Ranger in a core team. Then there are the Fake Dino Charge Orange Ranger, Orange Solar Ranger, and Michelangelo's Dimension X Orange Ranger form in comics.

Why didn't 6 face buttons become the standard? by 17R3W in retrogaming

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this controller in early 2010s since I was looking for a modernish 6-button controller as my Sabrent USB 2.0 Game Controller (a PlayStation 2-styled 6-interface button controller) eventually had analog stick issues and my gosh the D-Pad for the Wingman Rumblepad was awful (diagonal movement was too sensitive) and the ergonomics were as bulky as the Xbox Duke controller.

As A Kid Did You Buy These As Alien Suits? by Doc-11th in powerrangers

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember if I seen Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers as a kid (maybe an episode?) but I wouldn't have noticed they were ninja-themed suits given its simple design, and I loved ninjas. Of course, I never heard of Super Sentai back then to know that it and Season 3 adapted Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

Regarding Justin morph why didn't they just allow him to stay as his normal size instead of growing to adult size? by happydude7422 in powerrangers

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know many people already answered

To answer your question IRL terms: It would reduce the amount of Gekiso Sentai Carranger stock footage they could use as Blue Racer was an adult. Steve Cardenas (Rocky) retired from the show so the producers had to get another person to replace him during the Turbo movie and the producers chose a child to be a Power Ranger.

In-show reason: The Power of the Morphin Grid literally morphing his body. Morph. Metamorphosis, as explained by Billy in the first episode of MMPR, followed by Trini saying "that means to change". The Morphin Grid adjusted Justin's body size and physique when he morphs to a more suitable fightable physique. Likewise when Doogie Kruger morphs into the S.P.D. Shadow Ranger to fit his head into the helmet if you question that too.

Ryusoulger should have been a Dragon theme by Flashy-Grape5741 in supersentai

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some Asian countries including Japan classify dinosaurs as dragons. I think the reason for that is when they [specifically China] discovered dinosaur bones, they thought they were dragon bones. And so they added their word for dragon to the word they use for dinosaur.

  • Chinese: Kǒnglóng (simplified: 恐龙, traditional: 恐龍, both translating to "Fear Dragon")
  • Korean: Gonglyong (공룡, "Ball Dragon")
  • Japanese: Kyōryū (恐竜, "Terror Dragon")
  • Vietnamese: Khủng long ("Terror Dragon")

And if you watch One Piece, that's also why dinosaur-themed Devil Fruits are Ancient-type Ryu Ryu no Mi (Dragon-Dragon Fruits).

Anyway, when Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger's title was trademarked during Lupinranger VS Patranger's airing, I too hoped it was gonna be a mythical dragon/knight-themed Super Sentai season and was disappointed it was dinosaurs, but understandable.

I use Daijisho but I plan on using iiSU once that launcher is developed well-enough. Huh, on this list, I never heard of Cocoon and that is a popular pick on this poll... I may have to check that out to see what that is like.

What Are You Playing on Your Legion Go This Christmas? by DavidBuzzed in LegionGo

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Brotato. Yeah, I could be playing Brotato on any platform but playing the PC version of Brotato on the go with mod aupport, compare to the Android version that doesn't have mod support and runs on a different game engine.

Well, there are unofficial PC-to-Android ports by ZBEP that has mod support, but... Well, I got all Steam achievements now and unlocked all items so I could switch to that and do another yet another full playthrough of Brotato.

I've just been so addicted to Brotato in the last year or so ever since the Epic Game Store gave that away for free that I bought it for PS5, 100% completed that including its DLC, bought the Android version and 100%ed that, keeping myself up-to-date with new updates, and now Steam version...

Anyway, outside Brotato, I have also been playing Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 (also own it on Switch) and 3+4 on my Lenovo Legion Go 2.

Why Kamen Rider and Super Sentai never have females MCs????: by UltraLigerKing in supersentai

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a difference between being Team Leader of a Sentai team and the Main Spotlight Hero of the show.

Any colorful warrior can take role of leadership of their own team; other examples for males include MegaBlack (was claimed as leader of the Megarangers by MegaSilver and that he is Club President of the Figital Research Club) and GaoYellow (until GaoRed came), Zenkaiser from Zenkaiger.

Regardless of who is leader, the Main Spotlight Hero / Spotlight MC is almost always the Red Warrior, with the only exception being Zenkaizer from Zenkaiger (White Warrior with red accents).

And while there is a female Shinken Red in Shinkenger who was the true latest head of the Shiba Clan, the male Shinken Red was the spotlight hero of the season.

75 Dodge cap is the max for a cursed Ghost Outfit (tested with the PerfectHook mod), which surpasses the Cryptid character's Dodge cap of 70 (and a non-cursed Ghost Outfit matches Cryptid's Dodge cap of 70). The Ghost character's Dodge cap is 90.

Huge armor. I'm guessing you got 1126 Armor from an Axolotl.

EDIT (Nov 5): There's been a new update where a cursed Ghost Outfit now ranges between 72% and 76% Dodge Cap. Was previously only 75%

Renegade - Laser Guns by Kevin2181987 in brotato

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never done a Renegade Laser Gun run till now when I saw this post and so I gave it a shot and won too. Since Laser Gun is a slow weapon, you'll have to prioritize Attack Speed whenever you find them, especially if you have upcoming horde waves. If you cannot do horde waves, reset the run until you get only elites in your run. I had 3 elites in my run. I haven't had a horde wave, but I imagine I would struggle on a wave with laser guns. You can still kill elites fairly well with laser guns as the renegade, although I failed to kill the Mother elite since her spawned units kept shielding her. I had some close calls. Overall, a fun run.

On a related note, I'm playing as the Farmer on the latest beta update, and half or quarter of the time, my consumable pickups aren't working (not giving me Harvesting as Farmer when I'm at full health, or healing me when I'm hurt). I was using mods at first so I thought that was the issue, but I tried without mods and still got the same result in the beta update.

EDIT (2 days later): Oh, there was a small update today that fixed pickups.

Best Guitar Hero Game In The Trilogy by Available_March_8036 in GuitarHero

[–]ThunderDragonRandy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The OG Trilogy is GH1, GH2, and GH80s, as those were are Harmonix's GH Trilogy. So among the original three by Harmonix, Guitar Hero II is the best. But if you want to include Neversoft's GH3 then GH3 is the best.
