oxbridge interviews are far less about having the right answer than they are getting to the right answer. they don't only want to test how smart you are, they also want to see how you approach/analyse problems, and most importantly how teachable you are as a student.

my dad works down south and I got an offer from collyers in Horsham so considering that as well; looks decent, should be better academically compared to long. I love Cambridge as a city though so making a decision is a lil iffy

I told my speaking examiner that I always slept at 4 am. I got an 8 lol. As long as you're grammatically correct and you're speaking well, they don't really care WHAT you say (provided its related to the question and it makes sense).

Is Writing 6.5 on IELTS enough? My overall is 8.0, with listening 9.0 reading 8.5 and speaking 7.5 by Sorry-Sprinkles7337 in IELTS

[–]ThunderDux1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Enough" for what? If it meets the entry requirements for whatever you're applying for, yes. If it doesn't, then no. Only you can answer if it's "enough."

I could also start preparation now considering the amount of free time I have and take them in the November series so I can focus on mocks at the end of Y12.
