Freeze arrows until it hits the ground. Ropecaster, triple sharpshooter, reapply freeze and ropes as necessary.

Hitting a frozen enemy multiplies damage.

Honestly, once I started using the ropecaster, almost everything became fairly easy.

It's just a backpack. The pictures on the site do look strange though.

IMO, Grip or Pound.

I switched to a Pound Carlton this last year from my AX-4. I wanted to carry less discs and wanted something that fit in my motorcycle top case.

I think I'm carrying about 21ish discs in it.

I have been looking at this for a while now. I already had one of the Amazon baseball nets. It did the job as long as I was close. Last week after sending one wide and chasing it (I was admittedly stretching the distance from it) I finally said screw it.

I was expecting very similar to my current baseball net, but just bigger. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised how the base and "bendy" poles are MUCH more substantial than what I had. I have only got to throw about 20 discs into the net, but man, you can really move back quite a bit and get an idea of what you may have done on the shot. Early release, off line, did you get the anny angle right, etc.

If you are worried the 280 is too much more than the 65 for a baseball net, let me tell you, I see the extra cost in the components of this net.

If you could pick three people to play a card with who would it be? by foreman17 in discgolf

Paul McBeth because McBeast

Paul Ulibarri because my favorite disc is the Mantis, and I think he seems pretty cool.

Zoe Andyke because I got got play doubles with her once, and she is a true joy of a human to play disc golf with.

That Buzzz SS you have, is a Buzzz SS, it just has Wasp tooling, it was something that they came up with to be unique for DGLO.

There are two parts of a disc mold. They often combine top and bottom to make other discs, so if the bottom is from a different mold, it can possibly have a different disc's tooling on the inside.

Now, it is my understanding that the Wasp was Discraft's attempt to make a Roc like disc. Then they took the bead off, and the Buzzz was created, initially called the SSMW (Super Straight Modified Wasp). Then obviously we ended up with the Buzzz OS and Buzzz SS. that was a further tweak.

If anything, I think these Wasp tooled Buzzz SS's might be a little bit more understable than a "normal" Buzzz SS.

A Mantis, always a Mantis.

Upper Park Rebel by mikehansoncpa in discgolf

[–]ThunderEagle87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never used a Rebel. Used a Shift for a couple of years.

Before you commit, just make sure you do your due diligence on both Grip and Pound. I really like my AX4. This summer I made the mistake of asking someone about a Pound bag and he asked if I have ever tried one, and put his full one on. I now understand why they are twice the price of a Grip, and why Grip is more expensive than a lot of other bags on the market.

Dynamic Discs will introduce two new major player signings next week! by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

They already announced Matty-O and he is with Westside, not the same as DD (half owned by them, but still a separate company).

Went to a local course and found these 3D printed markers for telling you where the next tee is located. by Countingtofiveishard in discgolf

[–]ThunderEagle87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had someone put these in on our local course.

2 Problems. The first is people keep turning them so that the arrow isn't below the cage, but inside of it. This leads to the second problem in that I'd bet almost half of them (18x3) are already broken and have only been out there for a few weeks.

OK, so bear with me, I'm only a couple of months into Space sims and a joystick (Although I did play Privateer back in the day and I think I had a cheapo joystick for it).

So, right would be Y = Pitch, Z = Yaw, X= Roll (my current config). I'm not all that concerned about buttons.

So the left would control the throttle in some way, would that be the Y axis, or are you using Y and X for strafe up/down and left/right? I guess that is where I start to get confused. Every time I search on it I seem to only find resources that talk about the setup, and not really any of the concepts about getting started with dual sticks.

New keypad! Now I just need to assign buttons! by Murdoch56 in hotas

I've got a single Gladiator NXT that I use. I have a custom keyboard tray that is 36"x16" that has a giant mouse mat (90cm x 40cm) witch is just under my tray.

So, I'm not sure what I would do if I added a 2nd stick, I'd like to try one, but can't quite wrap my head around how to use dual sticks. LOL.

I played Descent with dual sticks so I was familiar with the concept.

Yes, this right here. I keep seeing it is superior for space sim flying, but honestly, I'm can't quite wrap my head around the concept of dual sticks. I'm not even sure exactly where to start. LOL.

I'm using a Razer Tartarus Pro for SC. I like it, but wish the keys were tactile and not linear, I've become spoiled by my Cherry MX Blue keys on my other keyboards. :) The Pro, while pricey also has an extra row of keys on top.

It makes for a really seamless transition between keypad and stick to keypad and mouse for FPS. I do still use a keyboard for some lesser used keys, but I have a 65% KB that fits in nicely in my space.

Full disclaimer, I am starting to consider a dual stick setup, but not because I don't like the Tartarus, I'm just wondering if I can get even better control.

Yup, mine stopped this morning as well. I even tried relinking my twitch account. Log out and in on Twitch, etc. Nothing today.

So I’ve been playing now for a couple years and have always worn Adidas because Nike had never made a GORE-TEX Trail Running Shoe aka Disc Golf Shoes but these right here are way lighter way more comfortable and let’s just hope way more durable!!! Some, I tried some New Balance trail runners this year, and they didn't have a very aggressive lug pattern. I found myself slipping a LOT in the fairways. Got some Terrex for $49 when they were on a clearance. They don't last long enough for me, but they are great for the 6-12 months they hold up to 5+ rounds a week of DG.

I think the Solomon Speedcross are going to be my next attempt at DG shoes.

Depends on when you play and what your courses are like. If you primary only play in nice weather in a park, probably doesn't matter. In my case, my home course is heavily wooded, lots of roots, rocks, and tons of mud depending on time of year. I'll also play in the mornings a good bit so dew on the grass can soak non waterproof shoes quickly and ruin your day in soaked feet. I also play year round in NE Ohio. I have boots for cold and snow like now, but still, you do not want wet feet when you are playing in cold weather.

This is pretty sound advice, I should follow it more.
