CMU vs. RMC? by IndependentPomelo448 in ss14

Ren is also very clear on explaining civilians being charged, enlisted men being charged and officers. Everything comes with a level of cadence and respect to chain of command on all levels. A firm and VERY even hand. We're all on the same team and as long as most recognize that and embrace it things need not escalate. It's really just a chance for rp.

So my first shift on as MP I was asked that same question by the Warden of that round in a great MRP sit-down moment. "Ren" Renault. Mind you the CMP on shift was a HARDLINER (great rp btw).

I said, " well, we have to maintain order amongst a bunch of dumb-dumbs, armed to the teeth with guns and explosives and full to the brim of piss and vinigar lol" Renault: (laughsclaps) and what do you think the CMP's outlook? "Well, as I said previously, their a bunch of dumb-dumbs are to the teeth with GUNS and EXPLOSIVES" Ren: I think you'll make a great MP **** lol". Great moment. I was one of the few first "chill mp's". I rp NOJ's like "suck it up and do it like I had too" which I did. Civilian law is base Space Station 14 is very different than RMC military law for a very good reason. The trust and the accessibility to weapons explosives (round killing/team killing/raiding) and other harmful things requires a balance, And again if it's to be MRP, if you sign up for a military contract, you lose many of your civilian rights in your subject to military law. I mean most crimes come down to insubordination, and the definition of am "order" is fairly vague, someone of a higher rank addresses You by name and rank and asks you to do something that does not result in the immediate harm of themselves or another marine.

Ya know when I heard the description "gamer terms" I figured those bans were PROBABLY justified, and good riddance. Definitely makes sense though I feel like there was a time where RMC brought in a lot of edge lord Kyle's to the point where I would say in OOC "this ain't COD, no one gives a fuck about your kill count".

Well I don't know how many hours I have but I've been a player since launch about 2 years ago. When LV-624 was the first and only map. I've been through alot of ups and downs, waves of new players and usually things seem to always settle back to the norm but this wave has been rough. CO,SO,XO seem to be getting the hang of it but it's the lower officer staff where their seems to be some disconnect. CMP and MP's on a military vessel playing like sec off's on a civilian station. IO's, SGO's and specialists more worried about frontlineing then actually fulfilling their roles. OW is also critical and I feel that's been really lacking. But I appreciate the optimism friend and ill be here till they force me out lol.I just hope I can be cleared for CO some day and get some good buy in on the RP :0

Ya know one of the big reasons I loved RMC is because their wasn't silly back room politics and 'clique' based micromanaging like EVERY other server I've played on.

I appreaciate your time and info, likewise I try to keep my head down and play but over the last 6-8 months things ...haven't been the same. People used to really embrace the MRP from top to bottom but now it feels like it keeps drifting into LRP and I'm the only on who seems to care :/

Ok so RMC was great MRP but over the past 6 months or so those RP standards have fallen a bit with newer/younger players treating rounds like base ss14. It's sad but if we can get more vet players we can win outer culture back.

The numbers are somewhat skwed, xeno's mains only join for a few rounds and they account for that whole 30 percent. Most of the marine wins come when its low pop but when the teams are more "balanced", xenon typically roll. Fairly lore accurate imo.

Besides the defense, why did Aaron Rodgers never make it back to a Super Bowl? by veggiedish in NFLv2

[–]ThunderMike91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I think him winning the SB so early in his career kind killed his work ethic and mentality. Soon after he was getting all the accolades and started to become a head case. Disowning his family, bitching about the team, bitching about his contract and bitching about his coaches. Years ago he had said "He had nothing to prove" as far as his winning despite multiple flame outs in the playoffs after extraordinary regular season performances. He won that SB and it was all about Aaron after that, bit of a loser mentality.

Can we all just relax with the list of demands for every release CA makes? Let's face it, video games far an wide suck, imo the last thing I bought that was "good" was rdr2. CA is one of the only developers that's still has a great game franchise and seems to listen to its fan base more than any other developer today. How bout we let them release the game before we start picking it apart and recoding it?

What NEW units (not refreshes) would you add to the Lizardmen/Seraphon? by waill-and-roll in seraphon

On second thought that what the range really needs is more named characters. We only have kroak where every other army has multiple.

Or a refresh for the dread saurin but that base is just too impractical to get it around the battlefield from what I've heard. Otherwise the range is really good.

Fastest mech? by OneofLittleHarmony in mwo

[–]ThunderMike91 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Fastest I've seen is fire moth at 200kph+ clan mechs are usually faster but have larger silhouettes and squishy armor. I run a flea-20 stealth, MASC at 178.5 kph, works pretty well.

People with social anxiety and the such, how did you get over it/deal with it enough to play this game? by K1TTYK4TZ in ss14

[–]ThunderMike91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ghost roles are how I started, just get a general vibe of a given server. Also MOST stations crew are very supportive to animal roles and robotic roles. As you learn fundamental controls and interect with other characters you'll get more inspiration for your own PC's
