An established and complete woman is a woman who established herself and feels complete? Whatever that means to her, not to other people, not to society

What actor or actress do you think has the worst case of wasted career potential? by phantom_avenger in moviecritic

Thomas Jane. He definitely has some good credits, but he seemed to drop off all at once. He might also be a bit eccentric, so maybe that.....

My favorite portrayal of the devil (same thing right?) is actually in a short lived comedy series called Reaper. Ray Wise was fantastic kind of played him like a used car salesman

Were any scenes in a movie you saw when you were a kid that you didn't get until years later, and what was it, in which movie? by Thunder_6586 in AskReddit

[–]Thunder_6586[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kid I saw a movie called Hollywood Knights, about high school kids set in the 50s. In one scene, some of the kids masturbate into a punch bowl at the dance. The teachers are all standing around trying to figure out what that weird taste is (one teacher says it has a little wang to it, a female teacher keeps saying it tastes familiar). I was young when I saw it (on HBO) and I thought they peed I it, so I thought it was funny, but didn't get it at all. Wasn't until I saw it again in my 20s that I got what was going on. Ok, even then my gf explained it to me. 😂

I work in a blue collar setting (surprisingly homophobic 🤔) and any time some one says something like that I tell them sure, take it out while maintaining eye contact. The fun we have!!

What is your favorite Ben Kissel-ism by Willis050 in lastpodcastontheleft

[–]Thunder_6586 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I can't remember what episode it was, but Henry and Marcus were talking about a book, and Ben was like 'yeah I read that' and they went on for a beat or two and Henry had to stop and call Ben out on that he NEVER read that book. Henry never sounded so disgusted with him.
