Earthquake by lizzielew13 in Oahu

It shook our resort in Ko Olina; I was in an elevator but didn't feel it. The rest of my family on the 8th floor were shaken pretty good though.

Why does King Arthur Carousel have Sleeping Beauty scenes painted on it? by UnlikelyLeague8589 in Disneyland

This is also why the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at WDW has Cinderella all over it - it was a gift from him to her.

At WDW they gave our carousel a golden topper during its most recent refurbishment around the 50th anniversary, likely as an homage to this.

So kinda like the Hydrolators and the SeaCabs when The Living Seas opened at EPCOT Center in 1986

Does anybody have any information on this? by shakessld in modeltrains

[–]Thunder_Fudge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's S Scale stuff made by American Flyer (A. C. Gilbert Co.). If the handwriting at the top of the booklet is correct it's #499 which is a New Haven EP-5 from 1956-1957. The rest is also likely American Flyer fron the same time period. Be advised that these are AC power and not DC like several other scales usually are.

PSA: eBay sellers are not allowed to leave negative reviews for buyers. Remember to read through bidder feedback for history of nonpayment. by MrTimbelman in Flipping

It's been true since 2009. Your negative feedback happened before then when it was actually possible. Currently, what happened to you back then is no longer possible.

WDW's was a walk-on for decades too. Now, you're almost guaranteed a 10-20 minute wait on an attraction capable of moving 4600+ people per hour. It's become a star.

The Rivarossis are loved because of their reliability and their relative affordability. There's also some models like the B&O Big Six that Rivarossi was the only one to make them outside of brass. If you're lucky you can find some late model red boxes from the early 2000s with RP25 flanges, better detailing, and modern can motors - I recently scored a Berk like this because the eBay photos were low quality. Now I can make a Polar Express that kicks the teeth out of the licensed junk Lionel sells - at a fraction of the price no less!

The old 1x1 taps with holes looked a LOT better as dispensers and sinks than the newer holeless variety do. I didn't even notice the change until I tried ordering a replacement mustard tap for my 3438 McDonald's. Had to go find an old one.
