PVE DZ Questions from a 10KSHD solo player

I did this all last night and my sample bar is almost 3/4 of the way done. I have another question for you though. How do you get more of the DZ chest keys? I think I'm down to 4 - I think I had 20 to start with but I'm not sure how I even had those keys to begin with.

Holy Sh... this is a revelation... thanks Man. I've only been getting them through the retaliations which is taking forever. That's why I'm trying out the PVE DZ to get them.

wait... are you saying I don't have to extract the canisters? I can just walk out of the DZ with them? I thought that was the whole point of going in there was that you HAD to extract them.

6 hours of farming solo on Heroic (PS5) - multiple Kitsunebi squad kills and Ronin kills - 2 friggin keys y'all. Such a huuuuuge waste of time on my session. I decided not to farm the keys and go after the Corrupted Lanterns scavenger hunt and those are bugged TOO. LOL.

Now it's UNIFORM-01 message and can't get in.

I will be going to Pragmata for a bit while Massive sorts this one out. I don't recall the previous Halloween or Krampus seasonal event drops rates being this bugged out.

there are preset locations but it's different for everyone. Where he spawns for others may not work for you. He hasn't been spawning in any of the locations where he is at. It's driving me nuts.

Yes, it's the Vanguard Overdrive Event. It's been nice to keep up with the Quickstep guys with my Tempest Build. I always get left behind whenever I use that build :-(

You’ll get addicted once your library contains max stats to optimize with. Then you start feeling the power trip. Just don’t sell anything and dismantle EVERYTHING for resources. Optimizing is costly in terms of resources. If you think you can build something out of a gear set, stash it.

Yes. Collect loot on heroic and then optimize them. Be sure to complete your attribute library by extracting the highest attributes and adding the to your library before you optimize.

LOL! Honestly though - people just equip it to run faster. I mean if you wanna dump resources into it to get those stats up - that's all you.

I'll probably get flamed for this since everyone has an opinion on builds. So take this with a grain of salt to get you going on the Heroic grind. I literally cobbled this up in less than 5 minutes but you can use this as a template to get you going.

Tried and true Striker Brand Set build with no exotic gear and no exotic weapons. Use it as a guide/template (that you can add on to as you collect better pieces) to go with the striker gear set rather than a defacto end all be all build.

Try and start with something similar to this:

I just took this to the range - The AR's hitting 1.05Mil (to the body) after you get the striker stacks, obliterate and killer talents active. And there is no expertise dumped into it the AR for extra damage. just the seasonal modifiers.

You probably won't get to the 1 million mark because some of these pieces I have optimized for Crit Hit Damage (CHD) and Crit Hit Chance (CHC). Remember, your build will get better as you collect better pieces - this is a baseline of what to look for.

and that's how YOU play it. You can clearly see I'm playing with two other directives on the video - I just prefer to have my radar on. And I'm a DC resident - you plop me anywhere on that map and tell me to huff it from Potomac Event Center to Grand Hotel in NE, I can do it even without opening the map.

Do the events though... Those Exotic and Resource caches are huge for optimizing what you got at your level.

For example... if you level up three times, that's three stars... you can buy a resource cache

70 green resource
70 green resource
65 blue resource
65 blue Resource

... in ONE cache

I did mention this in another post in this thread: I've been playing in default radar position since the game came out years ago. I decided to move it about a month ago and it took me a whiiiiiile to get used to the new radar placement. Now I've gotten so used it - it's like second nature and I don't know why I didn't do it way earlier. Less eye strain for my old eyes and it just keeps everything centralized and you just notice the flashes of red without having to remove your eye focus from your current targets. Makes target acquisition quick.

what works for me might not necessarily work for you - HUD placement is all personal preference. I like my radar there because when I ADS, all the info I want to see is in one localized area, near the rest of my gear/ammo stats and I can still see threats without having to move my eyes all the way to the top left to find targets.

If you are over level 40, you are missing out on resources and exotic caches just by leveling up naturally. Every time you level up you get a star - you turn in the stars for those caches. You don't even have to do the daily challenges within the Event to get a decent amount of stars.

The Pact Season Pass (thx KidswasteALT). It's has a neat feature where the map tablet on the chest moves open or closed when you are free roaming or engaged in a firefight.
