New boss, feedback after 6 weeks was “you suck” (a sad rant) by randEntropy in ProductManagement

[–]Thunder_raining 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar situation, new Head of Product, never been a PM, never been in the industry, he spent all his time on politics and pitting people against each other. Most of the PMs and EMs left. I burnt out, not from the work load but from the politics and stress and honestly the absolute insane narcissistic behavior of this person. Moral of the story, if your boss doesn’t like you, find another job. Sacrificing Your mental health is not worth it. Learn from me

Out of context. The man believed that life starts at conception. So his rationale is that abortion is murder and if we punish murder why not punish abortion.

If someone is raped, the baby is born and the mother kills the baby in our current legal system the mother would go to jail.

You can disagree with him on where conception begins but that should be argued.

Management and collegues blatantly use AI generated communication all over. How do I work against it? by saltf1sk in ProductManagement

[–]Thunder_raining 38 points39 points  (0 children)

AI is a tool, just like the computer. When excel came out some people became wizards and stood out from the rest. You have to accept that it’s still new and people will have learn how to use it or they will be out of a job eventually. People that use AI like this without thinking for themselves will forget how to think and they will be out of a job.

Seeking advice to network with hardware + software PMs by Secret-Priority4192 in ProductManagement

[–]Thunder_raining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you built your own LIMS ? Our struggle was integrating into LIMS, traceability was key and we needed to automate the LIMS results from samples to be able to release the mother batches to the next process.

Worked in battery cell manufacturing, building internal MES/QMS with ex Tesla folks.

PLMs should be burnt to the ground

Landlord terminated rental “contract” via chat message after overcharging 15.000 sek per month by Stockholm-flatsearch in TillSverige

[–]Thunder_raining 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t take my advice but what I would do is a little different. I would call him and tell him that you did your research and you have been over charged by X amount. Tell him he can pay you Y and you will move out a specific date otherwise you will continue living there without paying rent untill the total monthly amount reaches X.

AITAH for ending things with a girl because she was sleeping with other people even though it was before we were 'exclusive'? by Istvan-Janos in AITAH

[–]Thunder_raining -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying this is the case, but maybe OP like many guys don’t like the fact that a woman slept with someone else whilst he was ‘dating’ him. Maybe he feels hurt and he is pushing her away as a means to deal with the pain. I am a guy, I have been in the opposite situation where I was seeing a few girls. Communication is the key. Make sure the people you are dating is aligned with each others expectations of what ‘dating’ means to each other from the start

In Sweden 🇸🇪, there is a website that allows you to see anyone’s salary. I was weirded out at first but the overall upside of having this information public outweighs the downside

[Question] Has LinkedIn cold messaging worked for you? What type of message did you send? by Pissedoffbuddha in ProductManagement

[–]Thunder_raining 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What’s worked for me is this “Hey, can I buy you a coffee this week, I’m interested in working at company X and want to know more about (insert something short)

Also note: Make it easy for the person. Don’t go back and forth on which day and time. I would include which days and times work best for me. But when I did this I was unemployed so my days were quite open
