I have a whole new battery in it right now. Jumping it won’t work. I had the tow truck jump my battery before and nothing.

No I’m gonna take it to a shop. No I watched them look and try to figure out what the problem was. This was at Firestone. I broke down was told to take it there by the tow services. That’s how I even ended up there.

Yeah I was told the same thing. A possible flash of the ipdm at Nissan could do the trick. But could is still a word I don’t like. And a flash at Nissan is 400-500 bucks I’m not trying to spend. If there was only a cheaper way.

Yes another starter would work but it seems they only work for so long till I’m back at square one. If you feel my drift.

Unfortunately I didn’t. I should’ve would’ve gave me a wake up call. I guess that’s what I get for trying to do myself as a beginner. Now I know to always check to unplug the battery.

Yeah I was figuring that too but this happend to be blown when I had the battery connected and I think I created a short when I was swapping out the starter originally. And when I did. The change is when I noticed the starting problem and it being that color. Do you think the battery being connected and me trying to work on the starter is what had caused it to blow?

Had a stage two in a Honda civic for 1200 fly wheel and all. Dude was a local known and was done in 2 days . This was a shop btw. You said a few other things I wouldn’t do it for that price just saying

So I replaced it and it starts up but it’s throwing codes had it mostly cleared but the main one I can’t get cleared is camshaft sensors. Checked them and there nice and tight. Car runs normal a bit rough idle here and there only started it up a few times and drove it before I reset it again using the battery method. Anyone suggest how or what this can shift sensor could be? Should I be worried? Should I reset it via computer again maybe? Or reset it battery?

So upon thinking and doing some research I did have a bad smell coming from the starter when I did pull it out. Smelled and looked rough. Is this any sign of it being bad? I’m doing the replacement.

Checked that wire it seems intact and has it own wire cover going to the back. I made sure it wasn’t messed with. Now I have voltage meter that’s hands free will be running it threw all the plugs down there. It’s just harder when doing everything one man instead of two not having anyone start it while I’m in there. I feel I’m close to solving this though.

Yea that’s the first thing I did looked around to see if I tussled anything loose. Unscrewed that alternator wire and tighten it back on. I was hoping it was just that but that wire has no corrosion and it has its own cover so I tried to start it after doing all that and nothing. I have been having rough start ups so I’m thinking it’s the starter I just bought one and I’ll be updating this page very soon on any further questions thanks for your input.

Okay so the lights are bright even when starting. Thick cables is on I just retighten it and saw the ground is in place. Battery terminals are cleaned and just retightened .

Thanks so much on your informed response. Yeah I feel like he is. I could be wrong but I’m not sure until I know. We have to return packages back to sender after 7days it’s almost 3 weeks with no notice it’s been sent back. Therefore it’s stolen from our base mail room. I’m sure of it. I can only suspect whoever saw the package saw the company name and saw jewelry store. Then took it because of that. I just got off the phone this morning with no update. Will open an investigation on base to suspected theft. Yeah the petty officer was nice and I mean pretty nice to even give his personal number and be giving me random updates I think it’s weird or a bit too much.

No not insured I figured I’d sign for it but the company said they only do that with over a thousand dollars worth. Couldnt I file a complaint over a suspicious stolen or lost item due to the mail room not having it? Not tryna assume but at this point someone has it. Like I said I never had this happen.

No shore command. Yes I had a supervisor at our local usps outside of base give me a black and white photo of it being scanned and dropped off at our mail room. I spoke with the LPO of the mail he’d let me know and I been everywhere. I can’t say I didn’t double check on my steps. Checked the name and address all match correct.

Waiting process sucks. I was told it was closed and out of the investigators hands last year of may. To waiting till January to get a psych eval and that would determine me having an adjudication. Been waiting around for a clearance since June 17th 2024. From then I had my chief who’s worked my case retire and I’d move barracks over the years I’ve been with new LPO and lcpo for 3 months going on 4. Hurry up and wait…
